XROS 5: Screen shows "OVER TIME" and stops working
The screen displays "OVER TIME" and the device stops firing mid-draw or mid-button press. This is a built-in safety cut-off, not a fault.
Why this happens
- A single draw or button press lasted 8 seconds or longer, triggering the over-time protection cut-off
- Holding the fire button down continuously without releasing it, for example when passing the device to someone else or placing it in a pocket
- An auto-draw sensor picking up a prolonged, unintentional activation
How to fix it
- Release the draw or fire button immediately when you see "OVER TIME" on the screen
- Stop firing and wait a moment for the device to reset before taking another draw
- For future use, keep each draw or button press under 8 seconds to avoid triggering the cut-off again
- If the device does not respond after releasing and waiting, turn it off and back on using the power button
- If "OVER TIME" appears repeatedly during normal, short draws, check that the mouthpiece and pod are seated correctly and that nothing is blocking the airflow sensor, then contact Vaporesso support if the issue continues
