XROS Pro 2
The XROS Pro 2 is Vaporesso's flagship pod kit, built for all-day vapers who want a 2000mAh battery, adjustable wattage up to 30W, and COREX 3.0 mesh pods in a 65g body.
Set up guide & tips
Charging Before First Use
The XROS Pro 2 arrives partially charged, but we recommend charging it fully before your first session. Plug in via the Type-C port at DC 5V/2A. The LED on the device shows battery status: green for 70-100%, blue for 30-70%, and red for below 30%. Expect around 60 minutes from flat to full. Pass-through charging is supported, so you can vape while it tops up if you need to.
Filling the Pod
The XROS Pro 2 uses top-fill pods. Here is the process:
- Snap off the mouthpiece to reveal the filling port (3.5mm diameter).
- Squeeze your e-liquid directly into the filling hole. Do not overfill.
- Replace the mouthpiece and press it firmly until it clicks shut.
- If this is the first fill on a new pod, wait at least 5 minutes before vaping. This primes the COREX 3.0 cotton wick and prevents a dry, burnt hit.
If you are switching to a new pod mid-session, that 5-minute wait still applies. Skipping it is the most common cause of a harsh first puff.
Choosing the Right E-Liquid
The XROS Pro 2 ships with 0.4ohm and 0.6ohm COREX 3.0 pods. Your liquid choice should match the coil you are using.
0.6ohm pod (MTL to light RDL): This is the tighter, more cigarette-like draw. It runs best at around 21W. Use a nic salt e-liquid at 10-20mg/ml, or a 50/50 freebase if you prefer. High-VG shortfills can be too thick for reliable wicking at this resistance.
0.4ohm pod (RDL): A more open draw with a warmer, fuller hit. Best at 25W. Use a 50/50 or a light high-VG (60/40 VG/PG) with freebase nicotine at 3-6mg/ml, or a lower-strength nic salt if you find freebase too harsh at RDL.
TPD note: UK-compliant e-liquid bottles are capped at 10ml for nicotine-containing liquid. Both pod capacities on this device (2ml in the UK-compliant version) fall within TPD limits, so you are good to fill and vape without restriction.
Wattage and Airflow
Full wattage control in 0.5W increments from 5-30W is only available when you are using the 0.4ohm COREX 3.0 pod. Other XROS pods, including COREX 2.0 pods from older kits, default to Eco, Normal, and Power preset modes instead. The airflow slider on the side of the device lets you dial in your preferred draw regardless of which pod is fitted.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the XROS Pro 2 and the XROS 5?
Both hit 30W and use COREX 3.0 pods. The Pro 2 has a larger 2000mAh battery versus 1500mAh on the XROS 5, weighs less at 65g, and has a slightly bigger screen. The XROS 5 charges faster and has a slimmer profile. If battery life is your priority, the Pro 2 wins. If you want the fastest recharge, the XROS 5 has the edge.
Will my old XROS pods work with the XROS Pro 2?
Yes. The XROS Pro 2 is fully compatible with COREX 2.0 pods from the XROS 4 and XROS 5, as well as the wider XROS pod series. The difference is that full stepless wattage control is only unlocked when using the 0.4ohm COREX 3.0 pod. Other pods revert to preset power modes, which still work well.
How long does the XROS Pro 2 battery last, and how do I check it?
Battery life varies by usage, but the 2000mAh cell is one of the largest in any pod kit at this weight. Heavy vapers typically get a full day. Check the LED indicator: green means 70-100%, blue means 30-70%, and red means below 30%. The screen also displays live battery status alongside wattage and puff count.
When did the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 come out?
The XROS Pro 2 was released in 2025 as the new flagship of the XROS family, replacing the original XROS Pro. It introduced COREX 3.0 pod technology to the lineup alongside the updated screen and 2000mAh battery.
What e-liquid is best for the XROS Pro 2?
For the 0.6ohm pod, nic salts at 10-20mg/ml in a 50/50 base give the best results. For the 0.4ohm pod, use freebase nicotine at 3-6mg/ml or lower-strength nic salts with a 50/50 to 60VG/40PG blend. Avoid thick high-VG shortfills in the 0.6ohm pod as they can starve the wick and cause dry hits.
Can I vape while the XROS Pro 2 is charging?
Yes. The XROS Pro 2 supports pass-through charging, meaning you can vape while it is connected to a power source via USB-C. This is useful if you need to keep going while the battery recovers, though for best battery health over time, it is worth letting it charge fully before use when you can.
