Vinci S
A draw-activated pod kit with a 2000 mAh battery, 5 to 40W variable output, and iCOSM 2.0 coil tech, suited to MTL and RDL vapers who want simplicity without sacrificing flavour.
Set up guide & tips
Filling the Pod
The Vinci S uses top-side filling, so you do not need to remove the pod from the device to refill. Open the rubber-sealed port on the top of the cartridge, fill slowly to avoid trapping air, and aim to keep the pod at least two-thirds full. This matters because the iCOSM 2.0 coil uses a copper chamber that relies on consistent liquid contact to maintain its leak-resistance and prevent dry hits.
Close the fill port firmly after each fill.
Priming Before First Use
New pods need a short soak before your first draw. Insert the filled pod into the device and leave it standing upright for around five minutes. This allows the Golden Cotton wicking material to fully saturate. Skipping this step is the most common cause of a burnt taste on a brand-new pod.
Which E-Liquid to Use
The Vinci S comes fitted with a 0.8Ω MTL pod in the box. A 0.6Ω RDL/MTL pod is also available separately.
0.8Ω MTL pod (12 to 16W): This is a higher-resistance, tighter draw. Use nicotine salt e-liquids at 10 to 20mg/ml with a 50/50 VG/PG ratio. Nic salts give a smoother throat hit at these strengths, which works well for anyone switching from cigarettes.
0.6Ω RDL/MTL pod (18 to 23W): A looser draw with more vapour production. You can use nic salts here too, though many vapers drop to 10mg or use a higher-VG 70/30 shortfill at lower nicotine. The wider bore handles thicker liquid better than the 0.8Ω pod.
TPD note: The UK version of the Vinci S ships with a 2ml pod. This is the legally compliant capacity for the UK market. If you see 4.5ml listed, that is the non-TPD version sold outside the UK.
LED Battery Indicators
The LED on the device tells you both battery level and device status at a glance.
- Green - 100% to 60% charge
- Blue - 60% to 30% charge
- Red - below 30%, time to charge
Protection codes:
- Blue flashes five times - timeout protection; you have inhaled for more than 8 seconds continuously and the device has auto-locked
- Green flashes three times - pod insertion confirmed and recognised
- Blue flashes three times - pod not recognised; remove and reinsert the cartridge, check the contacts are clean
- Yellow flashes three times - resistance too low; the pod is not compatible or the coil has failed
- Red flashes five times - short circuit protection; remove the pod and check for damage
- Red flashes three times - battery too low to fire; charge the device
Charging
Charge via USB-C at 5V/1A. Note that a USB-C cable is not included in the box, so you will need your own. The port sits on the side of the device, allowing it to charge upright, which is a small but useful detail.

- Device cuts out and blue light flashes five times mid-puff The device stops firing mid-puff and the blue light flashes five times in quick succession. This happens during a single continuous inhale and the device will not fire again until you release and restart.
- Device is not charging You plug the device in to charge and nothing happens, the battery indicator does not light up, or charging stops before the battery is full.
- Green light flashes three times when inserting the pod When you push the pod into the device, the green light flashes three times and then stops. You may be unsure whether this is normal behaviour or a fault.
- Output stops and blue light flashes three times during a puff The device cuts out mid-puff and the blue LED flashes three times. This is the built-in cartridge-not-recognised alert, meaning the device cannot detect a valid connection with the pod or coil.
- Red light flashes five times and device stops firing You press the fire button and the red LED flashes five times, then the device stops firing. This is the built-in short circuit protection cutting in to keep you safe.
- Red light flashes three times and device stops working The red light flashes three times and the device cuts out or refuses to fire. This is the built-in low battery protection activating because the battery has dropped too low to operate safely.
Frequently asked questions
What pods are compatible with the Voopoo Vinci S?
The Vinci S accepts its own dedicated Vinci S pods (0.6Ω and 0.8Ω built-in coils), the Vinci E pods, and PnP X replacement coil pods. This gives you a reasonable range of resistance options from 0.3Ω up to 3.0Ω, so the device can serve both tight MTL and more open RDL styles.
Does the Voopoo Vinci S have any buttons?
No. The Vinci S is entirely draw-activated with no fire button or adjustment buttons. Power output is set automatically based on the pod resistance. The only physical adjustment is the airflow slider on the side of the device.
How do I adjust the airflow on the Vinci S?
There is a stepless airflow slider on the side of the device. Open it fully for a loose RDL draw, or close it down for a tighter MTL pull. Because it is stepless rather than having fixed positions, you can dial in exactly the resistance that suits you.
Why is my Vinci S flashing blue three times and not firing?
Three blue flashes during a draw means the device cannot recognise the pod. Remove the cartridge, check the gold contacts on the base of the pod and inside the device for any e-liquid residue, wipe them clean, and reinsert firmly. If it still flashes, try a different pod to rule out a faulty cartridge.
How long does the 2000 mAh battery last on the Vinci S?
That depends heavily on your wattage and how often you vape. At the 0.8Ω pod's rated range of 12 to 16W you will comfortably get through a full day's vaping for most users. At higher wattages with the 0.6Ω pod the battery will drain faster. The LED system makes it straightforward to keep track before you get caught out.
Can I use shortfill e-liquid in the Voopoo Vinci S?
With the 0.6Ω RDL pod you can use shortfill liquids, though keep in mind the UK pod is 2ml capacity so you will be refilling more often than with a larger tank. Stick to 70/30 VG/PG maximum; anything thicker may wick slowly and cause dry hits with these pod-style coils.
