Caliburn G5 Lite
A compact 35W draw-activated pod kit built for MTL and restricted DTL vaping, suited to ex-smokers and everyday vapers who want reliable performance without buttons or menus.
Set up guide & tips
First Charge
Charge the G5 Lite via USB-C before first use. The 4-bar gradient LED tells you exactly where the battery stands: four bars in green means 75-100%, three bars blue for 50-74%, two bars yellow for 25-49%, and one bar red when you are below 25%. Charge at 5V/1A, so a standard phone charger or plug will do the job.
Filling the Pod
The G5 Lite uses a top-fill pod and you do not need to remove it from the device to refill. Lift the mouthpiece to expose the fill port, push down on the red valve, and fill to the 2ml mark. Replace the mouthpiece firmly before vaping. The 2ml capacity is the UK TPD standard for refillable pods.
Priming the Coil
After filling, leave the pod to sit for at least 10 minutes before your first draw. This gives the e-liquid time to saturate the mesh coil properly. Skipping this step is the most common cause of a dry, harsh first hit. For a more thorough walkthrough, see our coil priming guide.
Fitting the Pod
The pod connects magnetically. Drop it into the top of the device and it clicks into place. Smart Mode reads the coil resistance automatically and sets the appropriate wattage, no adjustments needed from you.
Airflow
The side airflow slider lets you move between a tighter MTL draw and a more open restricted DTL inhale. Tighten it down for a cigarette-like pull; open it up for a warmer, airier draw with the 0.4 ohm pod.
Which E-Liquid to Use
The right e-liquid depends on the pod resistance:
- 0.9 ohm and 1.2 ohm pods (MTL): Use a 50/50 (PG/VG) e-liquid or a nic salt with up to 50% VG. Nic salts at 10-20mg/ml work very well here for a smooth throat hit close to a cigarette.
- 0.4 ohm and 0.6 ohm pods (RDTL): A 50/50 or a slightly higher-VG blend (up to around 60% VG) suits these better. Stick to freebase nicotine at lower strengths, around 3-6mg/ml, as the vapour production is noticeably higher.
Higher-VG shortfills are not a natural fit for this kit. The tighter coil designs and 2ml pod size are tuned for 50/50 liquids where flavour concentration and wicking speed matter more than cloud volume.

What is the Caliburn G5 Lite and who is it for?
The Caliburn G5 Lite is a 35W draw-activated pod kit from Uwell's Caliburn series. It suits ex-smokers and everyday vapers who want a pocketable, no-fuss device that handles both MTL and restricted DTL vaping without any button presses or wattage adjustments.
What is the difference between the Caliburn G5 Lite and the G5 Lite SE?
The G5 Lite SE is the premium-finish version of the same device. It shares the identical 1600mAh battery, 35W Smart Mode, and draw-activated operation, but swaps the Lite's translucent shell for a dual-tone design combining leather and a striped texture. The performance is the same; it is purely an aesthetic choice.
What pods are compatible with the Caliburn G5 Lite?
The G5 Lite is compatible with Caliburn GPP pods (0.4, 0.6, 0.9, and 1.2 ohm) and Caliburn G3 pods (0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1.0 ohm). A 0.6 ohm GPP pod is included in the box. The resistance range supported by the device runs from 0.4 to 1.2 ohm.
Is there a Caliburn G5 Lite Koko version?
The "Koko" name refers to a separate Caliburn sub-series from Uwell, designed with a smaller, squarer form factor. The G5 Lite is its own device and is not the same as a Koko model, though both sit within the wider Caliburn family and share the GPP pod platform.
What colours does the Caliburn G5 Lite come in?
Colour options for the G5 Lite vary by retailer and stock availability. The G5 Lite SE offers its own finish options within the dual-tone leather and striped texture design. Check the product listing for current colour availability.
Does the Caliburn G5 Lite have any buttons or settings to adjust?
No buttons are required for normal use. Smart Mode detects the coil resistance and sets the wattage automatically. The only manual adjustment is the airflow slider on the side, which lets you dial in tighter MTL or more open RDTL airflow to suit your preference.
