Sonder Q3
A compact, draw-activated pod kit with 1750mAh battery and 30W output, suited to MTL and restricted DTL vapers who want adjustable airflow and all-day battery life.
Set up guide & tips
Filling the Pod
The Sonder Q3 uses a top-fill system. Remove the drip tip to expose the fill port, then insert the nozzle of your e-liquid bottle and squeeze gently. Do not overfill, as this can cause leakage around the seal. Once filled, replace the drip tip firmly and leave it to sit for at least 5 minutes before you take your first draw. This gives the coil time to saturate fully and helps you avoid a dry, burnt hit straight out of the gate.
Which E-Liquid to Use
The included 0.8ohm Q pod sits in MTL to restricted DTL territory, so the liquid choice matters.
- Nic salts or 50/50 freebase: The right call for this pod. Both thin enough to wick cleanly through the coil, both deliver a satisfying throat hit at the lower wattages this device operates at.
- High-VG shortfills: Avoid these with the standard pod. The thicker consistency does not wick fast enough and shortens coil life considerably. If you want higher-VG e-liquid, pair it with a higher-resistance pod that is better suited to slower wicking.
- Nicotine strength: At MTL wattages, 10mg to 20mg nic salts work well. UK TPD rules cap nic salt e-liquids at 20mg/ml in 10ml bottles, so you are well within compliant territory at those strengths.
Airflow
There is a sliding airflow switch on the side of the device. Closing it down gives a tighter, cigarette-like MTL draw. Opening it up loosens the airflow into restricted DTL territory. Have a few puffs at each setting to find what suits you before committing to one position.
Smart Mode
The Sonder Q3 detects the resistance of whatever Q pod you insert and sets the output wattage automatically. You do not need to adjust anything manually; just drop the pod in and vape. This is particularly useful when swapping between different Q pod coil options.
Charging
Charge via the USB-C port at 5V/1A. A USB-C cable is not included in the box, so have one ready. Charge from flat before first use if the battery indicator shows low.

What is the Sonder Q3 and who is it for?
An update over the Sonder Q2, the Geekvape Sonder Q3 is a refillable pod kit built around a 1750mAh battery and 30W maximum output. It suits adults switching from cigarettes or experienced vapers who want a portable, low-maintenance device for MTL or restricted DTL vaping throughout the day.
What pods and coils does the Sonder Q3 use?
It uses Geekvape Q pod cartridges. The kit ships with a 0.8ohm Q pod, which covers MTL and restricted DTL. The device accepts Q pods within a 0.4 to 1.2ohm resistance range, so there is some flexibility if you want to try different coil options from the Q cartridge range.
Does the Sonder Q3 have buttons?
No. It is fully draw-activated, meaning you just inhale to fire it. There are no power buttons to press. The only physical control is the sliding airflow switch on the side, which adjusts the draw resistance between MTL and restricted DTL.
How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?
The 1750mAh built-in battery is rated for a full day or more of typical use. Charge it via USB-C at 5V/1A. A multi-colour LED indicator on the body shows battery status as you vape, so you can see when it needs plugging in.
How do I know when to replace the Q pod?
A burnt or noticeably muted flavour is the clearest sign the coil is done. Coil life depends heavily on e-liquid choice and how hard you vape. Using 50/50 or nic salt e-liquids and allowing proper priming time will get you the most out of each pod before replacement.
