Set up guide & tips
What's in the box
The Thelema Elite 40 ships with the device, a 0.3Ω E Plus cartridge, a 0.6Ω E Plus cartridge, a Type-C charging cable, and documentation. Both pods are dry from the factory, so priming before your first vape is essential.
Filling the pod
The Thelema Elite 40 uses side-fill cartridges. Locate the silicone fill port on the side of the pod, lift or slide the cover, and insert your bottle nozzle directly. Fill slowly to avoid trapping air, then reseal the port firmly. Lost Vape recommend leaving the filled pod to stand for at least five minutes before vaping, so the cotton in the coil can fully saturate. Rushing this step is the most common cause of a burnt first hit.
Priming after a refill
After every refill, the same rule applies: leave the pod to stand for at least five minutes before taking a draw. If the pod has been sitting dry for a while, a slightly longer soak of around ten minutes is worth it, particularly with the 0.3Ω cartridge at higher wattage.
Which e-liquid to use
0.6Ω cartridge (MTL, up to 22W): This is the tighter draw option. Use nic salts at 10mg or 20mg, or a 50/50 freebase. Nic salts at this resistance give a smooth, satisfying throat hit without the harshness that freebase can produce at higher nicotine strengths. Keep wattage in the lower half of the range for the best flavour.
0.3Ω cartridge (RDL, up to 40W): This is a looser, airier draw with more vapour. Use a high-VG shortfill or a freebase e-liquid at lower nicotine, typically 3mg or 6mg. Nic salts are not recommended at this resistance and wattage, as the delivery is too fast and the hit too sharp.
TPD note: UK pods for this device hold 2ml in line with TPD regulations. The standard international cartridge is 3ml, so if you see that figure quoted elsewhere, the UK version you have is 2ml. This is normal and expected.
Adjusting airflow
The Thelema Elite 40 has a slide airflow control on the device. Closing it down suits the 0.6Ω pod for a tighter MTL feel. Opening it up works well with the 0.3Ω pod for a more open RDL draw. It's a stepless slider, so you can find a middle position that suits your preference.
Battery and charging
Charge via the Type-C port at 5V/1.4A. The 0.69-inch OLED screen shows a five-bar battery indicator with voltage readouts so you always know where you stand. Avoid running the battery completely flat regularly, as this shortens the lifespan of any built-in cell over time.

Frequently asked questions
What pods and coils are compatible with the Thelema Elite 40?
The Thelema Elite 40 uses Lost Vape E Plus cartridges, which come in 0.3Ω and 0.6Ω variants. Lost Vape URSA cartridges also fit with a separate adapter. An E Plus RBA cartridge is available separately for users who want to build their own coils, making it one of the few pod kits to offer that option.
What is the difference between the 0.3Ω and 0.6Ω cartridges?
The 0.6Ω cartridge suits MTL vaping with nic salts or 50/50 freebase at up to 22W. The 0.3Ω cartridge is for RDL vaping with high-VG or lower-nicotine freebase e-liquid at up to 40W. Using nic salts in the 0.3Ω pod at full power is not recommended, as the hit will be very harsh.
Does the Thelema Elite 40 support an RBA cartridge?
Yes. Lost Vape sell an E Plus RBA cartridge separately that fits directly into the Thelema Elite 40. It allows you to build and install your own coil, which is unusual for a pod kit at this size and price point. Note that coil building falls outside standard beginner use and requires some prior experience.
Why does my Thelema Elite 40 pod taste burnt?
Almost always, this means the coil cotton was not fully saturated before the first vape, or the pod ran too low on liquid. Always prime a new or freshly refilled pod for at least five minutes before using it. If the coil already tastes burnt, it will need replacing as the cotton damage is not recoverable.
How do I read the battery level on the Thelema Elite 40?
The OLED screen displays a five-bar indicator alongside a voltage reading. Bars drop as the battery drains, and the voltage gives you a precise read: anything above 4.0V is well charged, and below 3.3V the device is close to needing a charge. The indicator updates in real time as you vape.
Is the Thelema Elite 40 pod capacity 2ml or 3ml?
In the UK, the pods hold 2ml to comply with TPD regulations. The standard international version uses 3ml cartridges. If you purchased from a UK retailer, your device will come with 2ml pods. This is standard across all TPD-compliant pod kits sold in Britain, not a fault or a reduced version of the product.
