Set up guide & tips
What's in the box
The Centaurus N200 kit includes the N200 mod, a Type-C charging cable, and a user manual. Batteries are not included, so you will need two 18650 cells before you can vape. Buy quality cells from a reputable UK battery supplier and check the wrap is undamaged before inserting them.
Installing batteries and first charge
Insert two 18650 batteries into the battery sled, matching the polarity markings. Lost Vape recommend charging via the onboard USB Type-C port at 5V/2A if you do not have an external charger. Giving the batteries a full charge before first use sets a good baseline.
Coil priming and filling
The Centaurus N200 kit pairs with a sub-ohm tank. Before you fire up for the first time, the coil needs to be fully saturated.
- Fit the new coil into the tank and hand-tighten it.
- Twist open the top cap and fill through the e-liquid filling slot.
- Seal the top cap, then leave the tank to stand for at least five minutes so the cotton is fully saturated before you take your first vape.
- Start at a lower wattage and step up gradually until you find your preferred output.
Skipping the priming wait is the single most common cause of a burnt first hit, so be patient with it.
Which e-liquid to use
With sub-ohm coils typically in the 0.15-0.3 ohm range, you want a high-VG e-liquid, 70/30 VG/PG or higher, to feed the coil without drying it out. UK TPD rules cap nicotine e-liquids at 10ml and 20mg/ml, so for sub-ohm use at these wattages, 3mg or 6mg freebase in a 50ml or 100ml shortfill is the practical choice. Nic salt liquids are generally not recommended at sub-ohm wattages as the nicotine delivery becomes very harsh.
Controls and everyday use
The fire button is your primary control. Triple-click to switch between normal and RBA display modes. Hold both adjustment buttons for three seconds to lock or unlock the wattage buttons. There is a physical on/off toggle switch beneath the adjustment buttons, which is genuinely useful for pocket carry as it fully cuts power rather than just locking the buttons. The LED ring around the fire button gives you a colour-coded battery level at a glance without needing to read the screen.

What is the Lost Vape Centaurus N200 and who is it for?
The Centaurus N200 is a 5-200W dual 18650 box mod sold as a kit with a sub-ohm tank. It suits experienced vapers who want high-power output, a clear TFT screen, and simple controls without a complex menu system. The physical on/off switch and colour-coded LED make everyday use genuinely straightforward.
Does the Centaurus N200 kit come with batteries?
No. You need to supply two 18650 batteries separately. Use quality, high-drain 18650 cells with intact wraps. The mod charges via USB Type-C at 5V/2A, but an external charger is recommended for best battery longevity and safety.
What does the LED light on the Centaurus N200 mean?
The LED around the fire button shows remaining battery capacity using colour. Three purple flashes indicate a fault condition, covering low battery, no atomiser detected, short circuit, or the board overheating above 85°C. The mod will also cut output if you vape continuously for more than 10 seconds, signalled by three purple flashes before shutting off.
What tank does the Centaurus N200 kit come with, and is the tank TPD compliant?
The kit includes a sub-ohm tank with a 2ml TPD-compliant capacity for the UK market. The tank uses a standard 510 connection, so it is also compatible with other 510-thread tanks and atomisers with coils reading between 0.1 and 3.0 ohms.
What e-liquid works best in the Centaurus N200 kit?
Use a high-VG liquid, 70/30 or above, at sub-ohm wattages. For most users, a 3mg or 6mg freebase shortfill is the right nicotine level. Nic salts are not suited to sub-ohm hardware at these power levels. Let the tank stand for five minutes after filling to fully saturate the coil before vaping.
Can I swap the side panels on the Centaurus N200?
Yes. The N200 has removable side panels, one cosmetic and one covering the battery sled. The panels from other colour variants of the N200 are interchangeable, so if you own more than one colour you can mix and match. The panels are a light friction fit and can have a small amount of movement on the body.
