Drag 6

The Voopoo Drag 6 is a 220W sub-ohm kit built for direct-to-lung vapers who want high performance, a large internal battery, and precise wattage control from a premium mod.

Set up guide & tips

Priming the Coil Before First Use

The UFORCE-X Tank II ships with a PnP X coil already installed. Before you fire for the first time, fill the tank and give the coil at least 10 minutes to soak. Skipping this risks burning the coil on its first use, which ruins the cotton and affects flavour from that point on. A dry hit on a brand-new coil is not recoverable - see our coil priming guide.

Filling the Tank

The UFORCE-X Tank II uses a top-fill system. Slide the mouthpiece to the side to open the fill port, add your e-liquid, then slide it back to seal. Do not overfill. After filling a fresh coil, stand the tank upright and wait before vaping.

Choosing the Right E-Liquid

Both included PnP X coils are sub-ohm and designed for direct-to-lung vaping with high-VG shortfill e-liquids. The guidance below applies to the coils in the box:

  • PnP X 0.15 ohm - use with 70/30 VG/PG or higher-VG shortfills at 6mg freebase or below. Best suited to higher wattages for dense vapour and strong flavour.
  • PnP X 0.3 ohm - also suited to high-VG shortfills at 6mg freebase or below, with a slightly more balanced restricted DTL draw.

Nic salts are not recommended with sub-ohm coils. At these wattages, the throat hit from salt nicotine at even 10mg becomes uncomfortably harsh. Stick to freebase at 3mg or 6mg for a smooth DTL experience.

Setting Your Wattage

Use the precision control wheel on the side of the mod to dial in your wattage. If you are new to the kit, start in Smart Mode and let the GENE TT 3.0 chip detect the installed coil and suggest an output. From there, adjust using the wheel to suit your preference. Smart Mode gives you a safe starting point; RBA Mode gives you full manual control.

Locking and Unlocking

The Drag 6 uses a capacitive touch sensor rather than a five-click button sequence. Touch the sensor to unlock, and it locks automatically when set down. This is useful for pocket or bag carry, though it is worth keeping it away from items that could apply sustained pressure to the sensor.

Frequently asked questions

What e-liquid should I use in the Drag 6?

Use high-VG shortfills, ideally 70/30 VG/PG or higher, at 6mg freebase nicotine or below. The included 0.15 ohm and 0.3 ohm PnP X coils are not suitable for nic salts or 50/50 blends. If you want to use a thinner liquid, a 0.6 ohm PnP X coil is available separately.

How do I change the wattage on the Drag 6?

Turn the control wheel located just below the tank. In Smart Mode the chip sets a recommended wattage for your coil automatically. Switch to RBA Mode for full manual control via the wheel. The range runs from 5W to 220W, though for the included coils you will rarely need to go above 80 to 100W.

When was the Voopoo Drag 6 released?

The Voopoo Drag 6 launched in 2025 as the latest generation of the Drag series, succeeding the Drag 5. It introduced the GENE TT 3.0 chip, the precision control wheel, and the capacitive touch unlock system, while retaining the 4400mAh battery and PnP X coil platform from the previous model.

How do I charge the Voopoo Drag 6?

Charge via the USB-C port on the front of the mod at 5V/3A. The 4400mAh internal battery is not removable or swappable, so mains or power-bank charging is the only option. Fast charging at 3A means the battery tops up significantly faster than older devices limited to 1A or 2A input.

What is the difference between the Drag 6 and the Drag 5?

The Drag 6 upgrades to the GENE TT 3.0 chip for faster firing and more stable output, replaces the standard up/down wattage buttons with a precision control wheel, and adds the capacitive touch unlock system. The UFORCE-X Tank II also brings refined airflow. Battery capacity and the PnP X coil platform carry over from the Drag 5.
