What's in the box
The Novo Axis ships with the device, a 0.6 ohm Novo SLR 2.0 pod, a 0.8 ohm Novo SLR 2.0 pod, a USB-C cable, and a user manual. You have two coil options ready to go before you even buy a replacement.
Filling the pod
The SLR 2.0 pod is a 2ml top-fill design. Snap off the mouthpiece cap, press your bottle nozzle into the fill port and squeeze. The spring-loaded valve opens under pressure and seals again when you release, which keeps leaks to a minimum. Do not overfill. Stop when the liquid reaches the visible fill line.
Before your first vape: allow the filled pod to sit for at least five to ten minutes before drawing. This lets the e-liquid saturate the mesh wicking material fully. Skipping this step is the most common cause of a harsh, burnt first hit.
Inserting the pod and choosing a mode
Push the pod firmly into the device until it clicks into place. The TFT display will wake and show your battery level, puff count and current mode. Use the button to cycle between:
- ECO mode - lower output, longer battery life, good for a gentle MTL draw
- Normal mode - balanced output for everyday use
- Power mode - higher output for more vapour and flavour, particularly useful with the 0.6 ohm pod
The airflow slider on the side lets you fine-tune the draw. Tighten it for a closer MTL feel, open it up for a looser RDTL inhale. The device is inhale-activated, so once the pod is seated and the airflow is set, you just draw.
Which e-liquid to use
All Novo SLR 2.0 pods are designed for 50/50 (PG/VG) e-liquids or nicotine salt e-liquids. Higher-VG shortfills are too thick for these coils and will cause wicking problems and dry hits.
- 0.8 ohm pod (MTL): pairs well with 50/50 nic salts at 10mg or 20mg. Smooth, restrained vapour, ideal for higher-strength liquids.
- 0.6 ohm pod (RDTL): works best with 50/50 freebase or lower-strength nic salts (6mg to 10mg). More vapour output and a stronger flavour hit. Running high-strength nic salts through the 0.6 ohm pod at full power will give a very harsh throat hit, so keep nicotine levels sensible.
The 2ml pod capacity is fully TPD compliant for the UK market.
Charging
Plug the USB-C cable into the port on the device and into a 5V USB source. Charge from empty is quoted at under 90 minutes. Avoid charging from a high-output fast charger as the device is rated at 5V / 1.2A input.

How long do the pods last before needing replacement?
Expect roughly one to two weeks per pod with regular daily use. The clearest signs it is time to swap are a noticeable drop in flavour quality, a slightly burnt or muted taste, or reduced vapour production. Using sweetened e-liquids will shorten coil life.
What does Eco Battery Mode do on the Novo Axis?
Eco Battery Mode disables screen animations to reduce power draw to the display, without changing the output wattage of the device. It is separate from ECO vaping mode, which does reduce power output. You can run any of the three vaping modes with Eco Battery Mode active at the same time.
Can I use high-VG shortfill e-liquids in the Novo Axis?
No. The Novo SLR 2.0 pods need 50/50 or nic salt e-liquids to wick properly. High-VG liquids (70% VG and above) are too viscous for the coil's wicking ports and will cause dry hits and premature coil burnout.
How do I know when the Novo Axis needs charging?
The TFT display shows a battery indicator at all times. The device also has a vibration alert that fires when the battery drops low, so you get a physical reminder even if you are not watching the screen.
