Prime Your Coil First
The Armour G uses push-fit GTX coils that drop straight into the pod. Before you fill, add two or three drops of e-liquid directly onto the coil's cotton wick through the open base of the pod, then let the filled pod sit for at least five minutes. Vaporesso specifically advise waiting five minutes after filling to let the e-liquid soak into the coil completely. Skipping this step is the single most common cause of a burnt first hit.
Filling the Pod
Pull out the silicone plug on the top of the pod and pour your e-liquid through the fill hole. Seat the plug back firmly, wipe any excess, and clip the pod back onto the device. The pod is top-filling, so there is no need to remove it from the mod to fill.
UK TPD note: The Armour G ships with a 2ml pod for the UK market to meet TPD regulations. A 5ml pod is the international version. The 2ml pod functions identically, you will just be refilling more frequently.
Choosing the Right E-Liquid
The kit ships with a 0.2ohm GTX mesh coil pre-installed and a 0.4ohm coil in the box. Both are DTL-orientated coils designed for high-VG liquids.
- 0.2ohm coil (DTL, 45-60W): Use a 70/30 VG/PG or higher-VG shortfill or 50ml e-liquid. Thicker juice flows well into this coil and delivers dense vapour. If you are using nicotine, a 3mg or 6mg freebase is appropriate at these wattages. Nic salts are not ideal here as the warm, direct-lung draw makes higher-strength salts too harsh.
- 0.4ohm coil (RDL, 26-32W): Still a VG-forward liquid, but this coil suits a tighter draw with the airflow ring closed around halfway. You can get away with a 60/40 VG/PG mix if that is what you have.
The Armour G's GTX coil platform covers a full range from 0.15ohm to 1.2ohm, so you can pick up optional coils to suit anything from a wide-open DTL blast down to a more restricted vape.
Getting Started
- Five clicks of the fire button powers the device on or off.
- Three clicks enters the main menu, where adjustment buttons cycle through options.
- The lock switch on the side locks the fire button and wattage together, useful for pocket carry.
- Choose between Eco and Pulse output modes. Pulse gives a slightly more responsive, flavour-forward hit; Eco is gentler on the battery.
- LED lights on the lower frame can be switched off in the settings menu if you prefer a cleaner look.
Start at the lower end of the recommended wattage range for each coil and work upward in small increments until the flavour and warmth suit you.

What is the difference between the Vaporesso Armour G and the Armour GS?
The Armour G has a 3000mAh built-in battery and measures 113 x 38 x 28mm. The Armour GS is slightly larger at 126 x 39 x 28mm and takes a single external 18650 cell, which is not included. Both share the same 5-80W output and GTX coil compatibility.
What coils does the Vaporesso Armour G use?
The Armour G uses the Vaporesso GTX coil range, compatible across resistances from 0.15ohm to 1.2ohm. The kit includes a 0.2ohm and a 0.4ohm GTX mesh coil. Additional GTX coils in other resistances are available separately and fit the same pod.
Does the Vaporesso Armour G 5ml pod work in the UK?
The 5ml pod is the international version. UK devices ship with a 2ml pod to comply with TPD regulations. The pod design and coil compatibility are identical; the only difference is capacity. Replacement 5ml pods are not legally sold in the UK.
How do I charge the Vaporesso Armour G?
The Armour G charges via a Type-C port on the front of the device at DC 5V/2A. A Type-C cable is included in the box. The GS variant uses a removable 18650 battery, so you can charge it externally if you have a dedicated battery charger.
Can I use nic salts in the Vaporesso Armour G?
Not recommended with the included DTL pod and 0.2ohm or 0.4ohm coils. The warm, airy draw will make even 10mg salts feel harsh. Use a low-strength freebase, 3mg or 6mg, with these coils. If you want to use nic salts, you would need to pick up an optional MTL pod cartridge and a higher-resistance GTX coil.
Why is the airflow ring on the Armour G pod not doing much at first?
This is normal for this style of top-airflow ring design. The adjustment has little noticeable effect until the ring is closed past the halfway point. For a more restricted, RDL draw, close it to around two-thirds shut. Fully open gives a wide, airy DTL hit.
