What's in the Box
Your kit arrives with the Argus P3 device, one 0.4 ohm Argus Snap Cartridge, one 0.7 ohm Argus Snap Cartridge, a USB-C cable, and a user manual. A lanyard is also included.
Choosing the Right Pod
Two pods, two jobs. Pick based on how you vape:
- 0.7 ohm Snap Cartridge - tight MTL draw, best with nic salts (10-20mg) or 50/50 e-liquid. This is the everyday carry pod for most people switching from cigarettes.
- 0.4 ohm Snap Cartridge - looser RDL draw, works well with 50/50 or higher-VG e-liquid. Run this at higher wattage and drop to lower nicotine strength, 3-6mg freebase or a lower-strength nic salt.
Both pods hold 2ml, which is the UK TPD maximum for refillable tanks and pods.
Priming and Filling
The Argus P3 uses a clamshell top-fill with a detachable cap. Open the cap, fill to the 2ml line, and close it back down. Straightforward.
Before you vape a fresh pod or coil for the first time, prime it:
- Fill the pod as above.
- Leave it to sit for 10 minutes. The cotton wicking material inside the coil needs to fully saturate with e-liquid before you fire it.
- Start at a lower wattage setting and take a few gentle draws before increasing power.
Skipping the priming step is the single biggest cause of a burnt taste on a new pod. Ten minutes of waiting saves you wasting a coil.

E-liquid Guidance
- 0.7 ohm pod: 50/50 VG/PG or nic salt e-liquids. Thicker high-VG blends do not wick well through tighter MTL coils.
- 0.4 ohm pod: 50/50 or up to 70VG works fine at this resistance. If you use a shortfill, check you are not exceeding 2ml in the pod and stay within 20mg/ml nicotine.
Getting Started with the Touchscreen
The 2.01-inch TFT touchscreen runs on VooPoo's GENE AI chipset. Swipe and tap to navigate rather than pressing button combinations. Smart Mode selects an appropriate wattage automatically when you insert a Snap Cartridge. Variable Wattage Mode lets you set output manually between 5 and 30W. The adjustable airflow slider on the side controls draw resistance, close for MTL, open slightly for RDL.

Troubleshooting
- Check atomiser warning or pod not recognised The device displays a 'Check Atomiser' warning or fails to recognise the pod when you insert it. It will not fire until the issue is resolved.
- Fire button not responding You press the fire button and nothing happens. The device does not produce vapour and shows no sign of responding to the button press.
- Gurgling, spitting or flooded pod The pod makes a gurgling noise when you vape, spits hot liquid into your mouth, or feels flooded and produces little vapour. This usually means excess e-liquid has pooled in the coil or airpath.
- Low power, auto shut-off or battery warning The device cuts out unexpectedly, shows a battery warning, or delivers noticeably less power than expected, even when the battery is not fully depleted.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the Argus P3 battery last and how do I charge it?
The 1500mAh battery charges from flat via USB-C at 5V/2A in around 40 minutes. MTL vapers on the 0.7 ohm pod at moderate wattage should get a full day from a charge. The 0.4 ohm pod at higher wattage will draw more power and reduce battery life.
Which pods and coils fit the VooPoo Argus P3?
The Argus P3 is compatible with the full VooPoo Argus pod family, including the Argus Snap Cartridges and the original Argus top-fill cartridges. The kit ships with a 0.4 ohm and a 0.7 ohm Snap Cartridge. Resistance range supported is 0.4 to 3.0 ohm.
