Aegis Boost 3
The Aegis Boost 3 is a rugged, 3000mAh pod kit running up to 60W, built for vapers who want DTL performance with IP68 durability they can actually rely on.
Set up guide & tips
Filling the Pod
The Aegis Boost 3 uses a top-fill pod with a leak-resistant airflow design, which makes the process straightforward. Locate the fill port on the top of the pod, open the silicone stopper, and fill slowly against the side wall to avoid air pockets. Stop at the 2ml line to stay within UK TPD limits. Reseat the stopper firmly before vaping.
Priming the Coil
New coils need priming before you fire the device, otherwise you risk a dry, burnt hit that can ruin the coil immediately.
- 0.2 ohm B Series coil: apply two or three drops of e-liquid directly to the coil's cotton ports before inserting it into the pod, then leave the filled pod to stand for five to eight minutes.
- 0.6 ohm B Series coil: same process, three to five minutes standing time is usually enough at this resistance.
After waiting, take two or three gentle draws without firing the device to pull liquid into the wick, then start on a lower wattage setting and work up.
Choosing the Right E-Liquid
The coil you are running should dictate your liquid choice.
- 0.2 ohm (DTL, higher wattage): use a high-VG shortfill, typically 70VG/30PG or higher. Pair with a 10ml 18mg freebase booster mixed down to 3mg or 6mg, or use a pre-mixed 3mg or 6mg freebase liquid. Nic salts are not well suited here because the vapour volume delivers a lot of nicotine very quickly.
- 0.6 ohm (restricted DTL or RDL): a 50VG/50PG or 60VG/40PG blend works well. You can use freebase at 6mg or nic salts up to 20mg/ml if you prefer a more MTL-style hit. Under UK TPD rules, nicotine e-liquid comes in 10ml bottles at a maximum of 20mg/ml.
Smart Mode and Wattage Tips
The AS Chip 4.0 includes a Smart Mode that reads the installed coil and sets an appropriate power range automatically. This is the best starting point if you are new to the device. Boost Mode pushes vapour production up; Eco Mode conserves battery and liquid, which is useful when you are running low. Use manual wattage mode once you know the flavour sweet spot for your specific liquid and coil combination.

Frequently asked questions
What pods and coils is the Aegis Boost 3 compatible with?
It uses Geekvape's B Series coils, and the kit ships with 0.2 ohm and 0.6 ohm options included. The full B Series coil range is compatible, covering different resistances to suit DTL and restricted DTL styles. Replacement pods are sold separately if you need a spare cartridge.
Does the Geekvape Aegis Boost 3 come with a 5ml pod option?
The pod included in the kit holds 2ml, in line with UK TPD regulations. A larger 5ml pod is available separately for markets outside the UK. If you see references to a 5ml cartridge, that version is not legally sold filled with nicotine e-liquid in the UK, though the pod itself may be available as an accessory.
How do I charge the Aegis Boost 3?
Charge via the USB-C port at 5V/2A. The 3000mAh built-in battery is a solid capacity for a pod kit at this output level, so you are unlikely to need mid-day top-ups under normal use. Avoid running it completely flat regularly, as this is harder on lithium batteries over time.
What does the biosensing lock feature actually do?
The biosensing technology sits in the rear panel and detects human touch, automatically unlocking the device when you grip it naturally. There is also a manual Fire Lock you can enable if you want extra protection against accidental firing in a bag or pocket. It is a practical safety feature rather than a gimmick, particularly useful given the 60W output ceiling.
Is the Aegis Boost 3 a good kit for someone switching from cigarettes?
It depends on the coil and wattage. On a 0.6 ohm coil at lower wattage with a 20mg nic salt, it can work well for a switcher who wants a satisfying hit. On the 0.2 ohm coil at higher wattage, it is more of an intermediate to experienced DTL device. Beginners are often better served starting on a simpler lower-wattage pod kit first.
