Luxe X3
A 45W regulated pod kit with a 2600mAh internal battery, suited to vapers who want adjustable power, broad coil compatibility, and something compact enough to pocket without compromise.
Set up guide & tips
What's in the box
Your Luxe X3 arrives with the device, two 2ml Luxe X Dual Mesh pods (a 0.6ohm for MTL and a 0.4ohm for RDL/DTL), a USB-C charging cable, and a user manual. Both pods come pre-installed with their coils, so you're not building anything from scratch.
Charging first
The Luxe X3 charges via USB Type-C at 5V/2A. Give it a full charge before your first session. The LED strip changes colour to indicate battery level: green from 100% down to around 60%, blue from 60% to 20%, and red below 20%.
Filling your pod
UK pods are 2ml TPD-compliant, refilled through a side-fill port. Pull the silicone plug, drip your e-liquid in carefully, and reseat the plug firmly. Don't overfill. For full priming steps and how long to wait before your first draw, see our coil priming guide.
Priming the coil
Because the Luxe X3 uses integrated dual mesh pods rather than swappable coils, priming is straightforward. Fill the pod, let it sit upright for five to ten minutes so the mesh fully saturates, then take a couple of gentle draws without firing before you vape normally. Dry hits on a dual mesh pod are avoidable if you're patient here.
Which e-liquid to use
The right liquid depends on which pod you're running:
0.6ohm pod (MTL): This is the tighter draw. Use nicotine salts at 10mg or 20mg, or a 50/50 freebase e-liquid. Nic salts suit the lower vapour production and deliver a smoother hit at this resistance. If you're a recent switcher, 20mg nic salt here is a solid starting point.
0.4ohm pod (RDL/DTL): More open airflow, more vapour. Use a higher-VG liquid, typically 70/30 VG/PG or a shortfill topped with a nic shot. Freebase at 3mg or 6mg works well at higher wattages. Nic salts are not ideal here as the vapour volume makes higher nicotine concentrations harsh. Never exceed 20mg/ml nicotine on any liquid, as per UK TPD rules.
Navigating the controls
The Luxe X3 keeps the menu minimal, which is genuinely one of its strengths:
- Five clicks: power on/off
- Three clicks: cycle through wattage settings
- Four clicks: toggle the LED light strip
- Bottom lock switch: physical lock to prevent accidental firing
The device reads the resistance of the inserted pod and suggests an appropriate wattage range automatically. You can still adjust within that range using three-click cycling. There's no puff counter, no complex sub-menu, nothing to accidentally enable.
Airflow
There's a physical airflow slider on the side of the device. Slide it toward closed for a tighter, more cigarette-like draw on the 0.6ohm pod. Open it up for the 0.4ohm pod if you want a looser, airier pull.

Troubleshooting
Frequently asked questions
What pods are compatible with the Vaporesso Luxe X3?
The Luxe X3 is compatible with the full Luxe X pod family. That covers the Luxe X Dual Mesh pods, Luxe X COREX 2.0 pods, and Luxe XR pods with replaceable GTX coils. The kit ships with a 0.6ohm MTL pod and a 0.4ohm RDL pod. You're not locked into what's in the box.
What wattage should I use on the Vaporesso Luxe X3?
The device suggests a wattage range automatically when it detects the pod resistance. For the 0.6ohm MTL pod, something in the 12W to 20W range is typical. For the 0.4ohm RDL pod, 25W to 35W is a reasonable starting point. Adjust from there based on your preference for flavour intensity and warmth.
How long does the Luxe X3 battery last?
The 2600mAh internal battery is generous for a pod kit of this size. Real-world usage varies depending on wattage and how heavily you vape, but at moderate settings on the MTL pod you should comfortably get through a full day and then some. Higher-wattage DTL vaping will draw the battery down faster.
How does the Luxe X3 compare to the Luxe XR Max 2?
The Luxe XR Max 2 sits above the X3 in terms of maximum output, making it a stronger option for committed direct-lung vapers. The Luxe X3 covers MTL through to RDL with its 5W to 45W range and is the more versatile daily carry. If you vape primarily DTL at higher wattages, the XR Max 2 is worth a look. If you split your time between styles, the X3 handles it well.
Can I use shortfill e-liquid in the Vaporesso Luxe X3?
Yes, with the 0.4ohm pod. Shortfills topped with a nic shot to your preferred strength (never above 20mg/ml) and a 70/30 or higher VG ratio suit the more open airflow of the RDL pod. Avoid thick high-VG shortfills in the 0.6ohm MTL pod as the tighter coil saturates more slowly and may struggle with viscous liquids.
