Set up guide & tips

What's in the box

Your DotPod Lite 2 arrives with the device, one replacement pod (already seated), and a user manual. A USB-C cable is not included, so have one ready before you charge.

First charge

Give the device a full charge before first use. The 1.1-inch colour display will show battery level, so you know when it is topped up and ready.

Filling the pod

Pull the pod out of the top of the kit. Lift the silicone plug on the side of the pod and fill with e-liquid up to the MAX line. Close the plug firmly, then push the pod back into the device. Do not overfill past the MAX line or you risk leaking through the coil.

Priming the coil

After filling, wait at least five minutes before taking your first draw. This lets the e-liquid saturate the mesh coil fully. Rushing this step is the most common cause of a dry, burnt hit on a new pod.

Choosing the right e-liquid

The DotPod Lite 2 takes 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 ohm pods, each suited to a slightly different style:

  • 0.6 ohm - the most open draw of the three, best with a 50/50 or up to 70VG e-liquid and freebase nicotine at 3mg or 6mg, or nic salts at up to 10mg
  • 0.8 ohm - a restricted direct-lung draw, works well with 50/50 blends and nic salts up to 20mg
  • 1.0 ohm - tighter MTL draw, ideal for nic salts at 10mg to 20mg and 50/50 e-liquids

Stick to a maximum of 20mg/ml nicotine to stay within UK TPD limits. The 2ml pod capacity also meets UK TPD regulations.

Adjusting the airflow

The DotPod Lite 2 has an adjustable airflow control. Open it up for a looser, more direct draw; close it down for a tighter, more cigarette-like MTL pull. Pair the airflow setting with your coil choice for the best experience.

Frequently asked questions

What is the DotMod DotPod Lite 2?

The DotPod Lite 2 is a refillable pod kit from DotMod, built around a 1200mAh internal battery, a 1.1-inch full-colour display, and a 2ml side-fill pod. It runs between 5W and 22W and is compatible with DotPod replacement pods in 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 ohm options.

What pods and coils are compatible with the DotPod Lite 2?

The DotPod Lite 2 uses DotPod replacement pods with integrated coils in 0.6 ohm, 0.8 ohm and 1.0 ohm resistances. These are the same pods used across the DotPod ecosystem, so they are straightforward to source.

How do I fill the DotPod Lite 2 pod?

Pull the pod out of the top of the kit, lift the silicone plug on the side, fill to the MAX line and close the plug before reinserting. Always let the coil prime for at least five minutes before vaping to avoid a burnt taste.

What e-liquid should I use in the DotPod Lite 2?

50/50 and nic salt e-liquids work best. The 1.0 ohm pod suits nic salts at 10mg to 20mg for a tight MTL draw. The 0.6 ohm pod handles a more open draw and lower nicotine freebase or nic salts. Never exceed 20mg/ml in line with UK TPD rules.

How long does the DotPod Lite 2 battery last?

Battery life depends on how often and at what wattage you vape, but the 1200mAh built-in battery is designed for a full day of moderate use. Charge via the USB-C port; the colour display shows remaining battery level at a glance.

How does the DotPod Lite 2 differ from the original DotPod Lite?

The Lite 2 adds a 1.1-inch full-colour display and upgrades the battery from 1000mAh to 1200mAh. Pod compatibility remains the same across both generations, so existing DotPod users can swap straight over without sourcing new coils.
