XROS 5: Screen shows "OVER HEAT" and stops working
The screen displays "OVER HEAT" and the device stops firing. This is a built-in thermal protection cutting in because the device has detected a high internal temperature.
Why this happens
- The device has been left in direct sunlight, a hot car, or another warm environment, pushing it above the safe operating range of 10 to 40°C
- Extended or heavy chain-vaping has raised the internal temperature beyond the thermal cut-off threshold
- The device has been stored somewhere too warm, such as a windowsill or near a heat source
How to fix it
- Stop vaping immediately and do not attempt to fire the device again while the warning is showing.
- Move the device to a cool, shaded spot within the recommended range of 10 to 40°C. Keep it away from direct sunlight, radiators and hot surfaces.
- Leave the device to cool down for several minutes before trying to use it again. The screen should clear the "OVER HEAT" warning once the temperature has dropped to a safe level.
- Once cool, take a few slower, spaced-out puffs rather than chain-vaping, to avoid the temperature climbing again.
- Going forward, store the device within the 10 to 40°C recommended range and keep it out of direct sunlight, hot pockets or warm vehicles.
- If the "OVER HEAT" warning returns immediately after the device has fully cooled, or the device will not fire at all, contact Vaporesso support or your retailer, as internal repair should only be carried out by Vaporesso.
