Centaurus N100

A single-battery sub-ohm kit running up to 100W, suited to DTL vapers who want a compact, flexible mod that takes both 18650 and 21700 cells.

Set up guide & tips

Insert Your Battery First

The Centaurus N100 does not include a battery. You will need a single 18650 or 21700 cell (sold separately). A 21700 gives you more capacity between charges; an 18650 will also work using the included adapter tucked inside the mod. Use a high-drain IMR cell rated for at least 20A continuous.

Filling the Tank (Kit Version)

The Centaurus N100 kit includes the Centaurus Sub-Ohm Tank, which holds 2ml in line with UK TPD regulations. To fill it:

  1. Locate the top cap and give it a quick quarter-turn to unlock it.
  2. Lift the top cap clear and fill to just below the brim, avoiding the central airflow chimney.
  3. Replace and lock the top cap with a quarter-turn back.

Never overfill. If liquid enters the chimney, dry-fire briefly at low wattage before your first proper puff.

Priming Your Coil

Before firing, prime the coil properly to avoid a dry, burnt hit on first use.

  • Add a couple of drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton wicking ports on the side of the coil.
  • After filling the tank, leave it to stand for five to ten minutes so the liquid saturates the coil fully.
  • Start at the lower end of the coil's rated wattage range and work up over a few puffs.

Which E-Liquid to Use

Sub-ohm tanks pair best with high-VG e-liquids, typically 70VG/30PG or higher. These produce the dense vapour and warmer flavour that DTL vaping is built for. Thinner, high-PG liquids can flood the coil or cause leaking.

For nicotine strength, most DTL vapers find 3mg or 6mg freebase works well. The increased vapour production at higher wattages delivers plenty of satisfaction without the harsh throat hit you would get from stronger freebase. Nic salts are not recommended in sub-ohm kits.

Adjusting Wattage

The N100 uses a jog wheel rather than traditional up/down buttons. Rotating the wheel adjusts wattage in 1W steps up to 40W, then switches to 2W increments above that. Press the central button to fire. Three presses of the jog wheel locks wattage adjustment while keeping the fire button active, which is useful in a pocket.

The mod runs two modes: Normal and DIY. For straightforward sub-ohm use with pre-built coils, Normal mode is all you need. USB-C charging runs at 5V/2A, but using an external battery charger to top up your cells is the better long-term habit for battery health.

Frequently asked questions

What battery does the Centaurus N100 need?

It takes a single 18650 or 21700 cell, sold separately. The mod ships with an 18650 adapter stored inside the battery bay, so you can run either size. A 21700 is the better choice if you want more vaping time before recharging.

What is included in the Centaurus N100 kit?

The kit version adds the Centaurus Sub-Ohm Tank alongside the mod, a USB-C charging cable, and a user manual. The mod-only version ships with the cable, manual, warranty card, and the 18650 battery adapter.

Can the Centaurus N100 be used for MTL vaping?

Technically yes, the 510 connection accepts a wide range of tanks. However, the wattage increments above 20W jump to 2W steps, which makes fine-tuning at low wattage less precise. If you primarily vape MTL at under 15W, a purpose-built MTL device will suit you better.

How do I charge the Centaurus N100?

Plug in via the USB-C port at 5V/2A for on-device charging. An external battery charger is preferable for regular use as it is gentler on the cell and lets you keep a spare battery ready. The on-board charging is best used as a convenience option.

What chipset does the Centaurus N100 use?

It runs the Lost Vape Quest 2.0 chipset, which offers reliable power delivery and two wattage modes: Normal and DIY. It is a no-frills chipset without temperature control or complex curve modes, which keeps the interface straightforward for everyday use.
