XROS 5: Screen shows "CHECK ATOMIZER" and device stops working
The screen displays "CHECK ATOMIZER" and the device stops firing. This fault indicates the kit cannot detect a valid coil or pod connection.
Why this happens
- Dirty or wet contacts between the pod and the kit, preventing a clean electrical connection
- No load or high resistance detected from the coil, triggering the built-in protection
- Faulty or worn pod or coil that the device cannot read correctly
How to fix it
- Pull the pod out and inspect the base of the pod and the contact pins inside the kit for any e-liquid residue or debris.
- Wipe the pod pins and the contacts inside the kit with a dry cloth until both are clean and dry. The manual specifically flags keeping these pins clean for best performance.
- Reseat the pod firmly and try firing again. If the error clears, dirty contacts were the cause.
- If the error persists, try a different pod or coil. If the device fires normally with the replacement, the original pod or coil was faulty.
- If the error continues with a known-good pod and clean contacts, stop using the device and contact Vaporesso or your retailer. The manual states repairs must only be carried out by Vaporesso.
