Set up guide & tips
What's in the box
The Centaurus BT200 kit includes the BT200 mod, the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank V2, a 0.15Ω UB Max Coil V2, and a 0.2Ω UB Max Coil V2. You will need two 18650 batteries purchased separately, and a compatible high-VG shortfill or e-liquid.
Batteries first
Install two fully charged 18650 batteries before you do anything else. Check polarity markings inside the battery bay and match them carefully. The mod will not power on without both cells seated correctly. If you are new to external batteries, pick up a dedicated 18650 charger alongside the kit rather than relying solely on the Type-C port for your first charge.
Priming and filling the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank V2
Step 1 - Fit the coil. Press-fit your chosen UB Max Coil V2 into the base of the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank V2. Both included coils are push-fit, so no threading is needed, just press firmly until it clicks into place.
Step 2 - Fill. Open the top-fill ports and add your e-liquid. The tank holds 2ml in UK configuration, in line with TPD regulations. Use a high-VG liquid (70VG/30PG or above) with these coils for the best flavour and to protect the mesh from dry-burning.
Step 3 - Saturate before firing. Once filled, leave the tank to stand for at least five minutes. This gives the e-liquid time to fully soak into the mesh. Skipping this step is the single most common cause of a burnt first hit, so do not rush it.
Step 4 - Start low and work up. Attach the tank to the mod and start at the lower end of the recommended wattage range for your coil. The 0.15Ω coil is rated 80-120W and the 0.2Ω coil is rated 60-80W. Begin at the minimum and take a few short puffs before increasing wattage to your preference.
Which e-liquid to use
Both included coils are DTL (direct-to-lung) sub-ohm coils. Use a high-VG shortfill or 50ml bottle, topped up with a nicotine shot to a maximum of 3mg/ml or up to 20mg/ml depending on your preference. High-VG liquid (70VG and above) wicks through mesh efficiently and produces the warm, dense vapour these coils are built for. Avoid thin, high-PG liquids as they can cause leaking and are too harsh at high wattages.
Connecting the Centaurus app via Bluetooth
The BT200 runs Bluetooth 5.1 and pairs with the official Centaurus app, available on iOS and Android. Download the app, power on the mod, then follow the in-app pairing instructions. Once connected you can adjust wattage and vaping mode, upload a custom wallpaper, and change the display theme directly from your phone. To toggle Bluetooth from the mod itself, rotate the adjustment wheel left to turn it off or right to turn it on.
Vaping modes
The Quest X 3.0 chipset supports seven modes: Power, Turbo, Voltage, VPC, SS316, Ti, and Ni. Power mode is the best starting point for most vapers. Temperature control modes (SS316, Ti, Ni) require compatible coils not included in the kit.

What is the Lost Vape Centaurus BT200 and who is it for?
The Centaurus BT200 is a dual-18650 sub-ohm kit producing up to 200W, powered by the Quest X 3.0 chipset and featuring Bluetooth 5.1 app control. It suits experienced vapers comfortable with external batteries who want precise wattage control, custom display themes, and a large 2.4-inch full-view screen.
Does the Centaurus BT200 kit come with batteries?
No. The BT200 requires two external 18650 batteries, sold separately. You will need to purchase these before the device will operate. For safety and performance, use high-drain 18650 cells from a reputable brand, and charge them in a dedicated external charger as well as via the on-board Type-C port.
What coils does the Centaurus BT200 use?
The kit includes a 0.15Ω UB Max Coil V2 (rated 80-120W, DTL) and a 0.2Ω UB Max Coil V2 (rated 60-80W, DTL). A 0.3Ω UB Max Coil V2 (rated 40-60W) is also compatible and available separately. All three are press-fit into the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank V2.
What does the purple light flashing mean on the BT200?
Three purple flashes indicate one of several protection triggers: low battery (the mod will shut off automatically), short circuit, overheating, or continuous firing beyond 10 seconds. Check the main screen for additional detail. A solid purple light means the battery is fully charged when charging via Type-C.
Can I control the Centaurus BT200 from my phone?
Yes. The BT200 pairs with the Centaurus app via Bluetooth 5.1, available free on iOS and Android. Through the app you can adjust wattage, switch vaping modes, upload a custom wallpaper, and change the display theme. It is described as the first mod to offer this level of app-based customisation via Bluetooth 5.1.
Is the Centaurus BT200 tank TPD compliant?
Yes. In the UK, the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank V2 holds 2ml of e-liquid, which meets TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) regulations. Pair it with a shortfill e-liquid topped up with a nicotine shot to keep your nicotine concentration at or below 20mg/ml, and you are fully compliant.
