First use and assembly
The PIXL 8000 arrives with the pod and refill container separate, so there are a couple of steps before your first draw.
- Remove the device from its packaging and pull the rubber bung from inside the kit.
- Remove the protective bungs from both the 2ml pod and the 10ml refill container.
- Press the pod and refill container together firmly until they click into place.
- Slot the assembled unit into the PIXL 8000 via its magnetic connection.
- Wait 2 to 3 minutes before vaping. This gives the liquid time to fully saturate the mesh coil and prevents a dry, harsh first draw.
Once assembled, the PIXL 8000 is draw-activated, so there are no buttons to press. Just inhale.
How the refill system works
The 10ml container feeds liquid into the 2ml pod as you vape, topping it up automatically. You do not manually refill the pod mid-use. When both the pod and the container are exhausted, you swap in a fresh set of PIXL 8000 refill pods, available separately in over 40 flavours.
Which e-liquid to use
The PIXL 8000 is designed exclusively for use with PIXL 8000 prefilled pod sets. It is not a manually refillable device, so you do not need to source your own e-liquid. Every pod comes prefilled with PIXL nic salt e-liquid at 20mg nicotine strength, which is the maximum permitted under UK TPD regulations. Nic salts suit the PIXL 8000's MTL draw well as they deliver a smoother throat hit at higher strengths compared to freebase nicotine.
Battery and charging
The built-in 850mAh battery should carry most vapers through a full day. When the LED display indicates the battery is below 20%, charge via USB-C. A charging cable is not included, so have a spare USB-C cable to hand. The device has an LED power display and puff counter so you can keep track of both battery level and usage.
Boost mode
The PIXL 8000 features a boost mode that increases vapour and flavour intensity. Activate it with a button press when you want a more substantial draw.
