Argus G4 Mini
A compact, draw-activated pod kit with a 1650mAh battery and multi-ohm pod switching, suited to MTL and RDL vapers who want all-day battery life in a pocketable device.
Set up guide & tips
Charging First
Plug in via USB-C before your first vape. The LED energy bar shows charge level in 25% increments, so you will know exactly when you are good to go.
Filling the Pod
The Argus G4 Mini uses a top-fill pod. Remove the silicone seal on the pod, fill carefully with your e-liquid, then reseal. Avoid overfilling and keep the fill area clean to prevent any leaking at the seal.
Priming the Coil
Always prime before first use. Drop a small amount of e-liquid directly onto the exposed wicking material, then leave the filled pod to stand for at least 5 to 10 minutes before vaping. Skipping this step on a new pod is the most common cause of dry hits and premature coil burn.
Inserting the Pod and Selecting Resistance
The Argus G4 Mini works with VooPoo Argus Multi-Ohm pods, which switch resistance based on pod orientation:
- Fill port facing left: 1.0 ohm, indicated by a green LED, suited to tight MTL vaping
- Fill port facing right: 0.7 ohm, indicated by a white LED, a slightly airier MTL draw
- Double-press the fire button: cycles to 0.4 ohm for restricted direct lung vaping
The device adjusts wattage automatically to match the selected resistance. You can fine-tune power manually within the supported range if you want a warmer or cooler draw.
Airflow
The adjustable airflow slider is on the back of the device. Open it fully for a looser draw at 0.4 ohm, or close it down for a tighter MTL feel at 0.7 or 1.0 ohm.
Which E-Liquid to Use
| Pod / Resistance | E-Liquid Type |
|---|---|
| Multi-Ohm pod, 1.0 ohm | Nic salts (50/50 or higher PG), up to 20mg/ml |
| Multi-Ohm pod, 0.7 ohm | Nic salts or 50/50 freebase, up to 20mg/ml |
| Argus V2 pod, 0.4 ohm | Higher-VG shortfill or freebase (sub-ohm liquids) |
The 2ml pod capacity is UK TPD compliant. Nicotine strength above 20mg/ml is not legal to sell in the UK and should not be used. At 0.7 and 1.0 ohm, nic salts deliver a smooth throat hit at lower wattages. At 0.4 ohm, thicker VG liquids cope better with the extra heat and airflow.

Frequently asked questions
How do I switch between resistances on the Argus G4 Mini?
Pod orientation changes the resistance. Fill port to the left gives 1.0 ohm, fill port to the right gives 0.7 ohm. A double-press of the fire button while the pod is inserted switches to 0.4 ohm. The device auto-adjusts wattage each time, and the LED changes colour to confirm which mode is active.
What do the LED lights mean on the Argus G4 Mini?
A white LED indicates the 0.7 ohm resistance is selected. A green LED indicates 1.0 ohm is selected. The LED energy bar tracks battery level, with each bar representing roughly 25% remaining charge, so four bars is full and one bar means it is time to plug in.
What pods are compatible with the VooPoo Argus G4 Mini pod kit?
The G4 Mini works with the full range of VooPoo Argus pods, including the Multi-Ohm Cartridge, Argus V2 pods and Argus Snap pods. The included Multi-Ohm pod gives you access to all three resistance settings in a single cartridge, which is the main selling point of the G4 range.
How long does the Argus G4 Mini battery last?
Battery life depends on wattage and how frequently you vape, but the 1650mAh built-in cell comfortably handles a full day for most users. Charging via USB-C at 5V/1.5A brings it back from empty in under an hour. The LED bar gives you a rough charge level at a glance.
My coil tastes burnt on the Argus G4 Mini. What should I do?
A burnt taste almost always means the coil was not primed properly or the pod ran dry. Fill the pod, wet the cotton directly with a few drops of e-liquid, reseal, and leave it for at least five minutes before vaping. If the taste persists on a pod that has already had heavy use, the coil is likely at the end of its life and the pod needs replacing.
