How we test and document devices
Last checked
Only kit we stock
Every device on the hub is one we sell. That is a limit as much as a strength: we do not cover kit we have never held, and we do not rank devices we cannot put side by side on the bench.
Setup guides and manuals
Setup guides are written from the device in hand and checked against the manufacturer's manual, which we host alongside the guide where the maker allows it. Wattage ranges, coil resistances and pod capacities come from the product, not from a search result. When a manufacturer's figure and our own measurement disagree, the guide says which is which.
Troubleshooting
Fix pages start with the problems customers bring us: support messages, returns and the devices that come back to the counter. Each page names the symptom, the causes we have actually seen and the fix in the order we would try it. A fix we could not reproduce does not go on the page.
Reviews and comparisons
A review means the reviewer has used the device as their everyday kit for at least two weeks, with the e-liquid they would normally buy. We score battery life, pod and coil life, draw, flavour and build from that use, not from the spec sheet, and the page names the reviewer and the dates. Comparisons put two devices through the same fortnight.
Prices, stock and shop links
Prices and stock on device pages come live from our shop and refresh every few minutes. A shop link is always to our own store, and the page says so. Nobody pays us to feature a device.
When we get it wrong
Every page carries the name of the person who wrote it and the date it was last checked. If you spot an error, email info@vapeandeliquid.co.uk with the page link; corrections are made on the page, and the date is updated. Our editorial policy sets out the rest.
