XROS 5 Mini: All four lights stay on then go off after ten minutes whilst charging
Whilst charging, all four LED indicator lights illuminate and stay on, then go out completely after roughly ten minutes. The device has triggered its built-in over-charging protection.
Why this happens
- The charger being used supplies a voltage or current outside the rated range (Type-C, 2A), causing the device to detect an over-charging condition
- A high-output USB charger, such as a fast-charge or quick-charge adapter, is pushing more current than the device expects
- The device was left unattended on charge for an extended period without monitoring
How to fix it
- Stop charging immediately and disconnect the Type-C cable from the device
- Check your USB charger: it must be a standard USB output charger with a charging current and voltage within the rated range. The correct spec is Type-C, 2A. Do not use fast-charge, quick-charge or high-wattage USB-C power adapters
- Swap to a compliant charger if needed, then reconnect the Type-C cable. The LED indicators should flash from 1 to 4 in sequence during a normal charge, and all four lights will stay on steadily once the battery is fully charged
- Stay nearby whilst the device charges. Do not leave it unattended, and disconnect it as soon as all four LEDs indicate a full charge
- If the over-charging protection triggers again even with a correct 2A charger, stop using that cable and charger combination and contact Vaporesso support, as the device should only be repaired by Vaporesso
