XROS 5 Mini: Four lights flash 4 times and the device stops working
All four LED lights flash together 4 times and the device cuts out. This can happen mid-vape or when you try to fire the device.
Why this happens
- No load or high resistance connection: the pod is not making a clean electrical contact with the device, so the kit detects no coil and shuts off to protect itself
- Dirty or wet contact pins: e-liquid residue on the pod base or the contacts inside the kit breaks the connection and triggers the same 4-flash cut-off
- Faulty or damaged pod: a pod with a failed coil or damaged pins will read as no load, producing the same 4-flash warning
- Puff held for more than 8 seconds: if you hold the fire button beyond the 8-second limit, the device stops working and the four LEDs flash 4 times then breathe once before going out, which is the overtime protection cut-off
How to fix it
- Remove the pod and inspect the contacts. Pull the pod out cleanly and look at the metal pins on the base of the pod and inside the device bay. Any e-liquid pooling here will break the connection.
- Wipe both sets of contacts dry. Use a dry cloth or a dry cotton bud to clean the pod pins and the contacts inside the kit. Do not use water or alcohol directly on the device internals.
- Reseat the pod firmly. Push the pod back in until it clicks. A loose pod will not make a reliable connection and will trigger the no-load warning again.
- Try a different pod. If the 4-flash cut-off continues after cleaning, swap in a known-good pod. If the new pod fires normally, the original pod or its coil is faulty and needs replacing.
- Check your puff length. The device cuts off automatically after 8 seconds of continuous firing. If you are holding the button for long draws, keep each puff under 8 seconds to avoid the overtime protection cut-off.
- If none of the above resolves it, the device may have an internal fault. Contact Vaporesso support or your retailer, as the manual states the device should only be repaired by Vaporesso.
