Vinci S: Device is not charging
You plug the device in to charge and nothing happens, the battery indicator does not light up, or charging stops before the battery is full.
Why this happens
- Dirty or obstructed USB-C port, either on the device or the cable, preventing a proper connection
- Faulty or incompatible charging cable, particularly third-party cables not rated for 5 V / 1 A
- Incompatible or non-UL-certified wall charger supplying the wrong voltage or current
- Deep discharge after a long period of storage, where the battery needs an extended charge before it responds
How to fix it
- Inspect the charging port on the device and the cable connector for fluff, dust or e-liquid residue. Use a dry cotton bud or a soft dry brush to clean both gently before reconnecting.
- Swap to the USB cable supplied by VOOPOO. Third-party cables often lack the correct rating and can prevent charging from starting at all.
- Check your wall charger. The manual specifies 5 V / 1 A with a UL-certified USB charger for indoor use only. A fast-charge adapter or an uncertified charger can cause the device to refuse to charge.
- If the device has not been used for a long time, connect it to a compliant 5 V / 1 A charger and leave it for at least 2 hours without interruption. A deeply discharged battery may show no sign of life for the first 20 to 30 minutes.
- Make sure you are charging indoors and that the ambient temperature is between 0 °C and 40 °C. Charging outside this range can cause the device to stop accepting charge as a safety measure.
- If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the battery or charging circuit may be faulty. Stop using the device and contact support or the retailer for a replacement.
