Vinci S: Device cuts out and blue light flashes five times mid-puff

The device stops firing mid-puff and the blue light flashes five times in quick succession. This happens during a single continuous inhale and the device will not fire again until you release and restart.

Why this happens

  • A single continuous puff has lasted 8 seconds or longer, triggering the built-in Timeout Protection cut-off
  • Drawing too slowly or holding the fire button down for an extended drag, making it easy to hit the 8-second limit without realising

How to fix it

  1. Stop inhaling immediately when the blue light flashes five times. The device has locked itself as a safety measure and will not fire until you release.
  2. Wait a moment after releasing, then take your next puff. The cut-off resets once you stop the draw.
  3. Keep each puff under 8 seconds. Shorter, more controlled draws will prevent the Timeout Protection from triggering again.
  4. If the cut-off fires on draws that feel well under 8 seconds, check that the pod is seated firmly and the airflow toggle is not set so tight that you are unconsciously extending the draw to get enough vapour.
