Vinci S: Green light flashes three times when inserting the pod

When you push the pod into the device, the green light flashes three times and then stops. You may be unsure whether this is normal behaviour or a fault.

Why this happens

  • The pod has been inserted and the device has detected it successfully, which is the expected behaviour
  • Dirty or obstructed contact pins on the pod or device body, which can prevent detection and stop the three-flash confirmation from appearing

How to fix it

  1. Check whether the three green flashes appeared cleanly after inserting the pod. If they did, the pod has been detected correctly and the device is working as intended, so no further action is needed.
  2. If the green flashes did not appear, or the light behaved differently, remove the pod from the device.
  3. Inspect the golden contact pins on the base of the pod and on the device. If they look dirty, damp or have e-liquid residue on them, wipe them gently with a dry cloth or dry cotton bud until clean.
  4. Reinsert the pod firmly until it clicks or seats securely, then check again for the three green flashes confirming detection.
  5. If the pod is correctly seated and clean but the three-flash confirmation still does not appear, try a different pod if one is available, to rule out a faulty pod.
  6. If the problem persists with a known-good pod and clean contacts, contact support or the retailer you purchased from, as internal contact issues require professional assessment. Do not attempt to open or modify the device.
