Vinci S: Red light flashes three times and device stops working
The red light flashes three times and the device cuts out or refuses to fire. This is the built-in low battery protection activating because the battery has dropped too low to operate safely.
Why this happens
- Battery charge is too low to fire, triggering the low battery protection cut-off
- Battery has been deeply discharged from extended use without charging
- Device has been stored for a long period without a top-up charge, leading to deep discharge
How to fix it
- Connect the device to a power source using the USB cable supplied by Voopoo. The correct charging voltage is 5 V / 1 A, so use a UL-certified USB charger only.
- Charge indoors only. Do not charge near heat sources, open flame or water, and keep the device in a cool, shaded spot while charging.
- Allow the device to charge fully before attempting to use it again. The low battery protection will clear once the battery has enough charge to operate.
- If the device has been stored unused for a long time, charge it promptly. Regular top-up charges during storage help prevent deep discharge.
- If the red triple-flash continues after a full charge cycle, the battery may be too deeply discharged to recover. Stop using the device and contact support or your retailer, as the battery is not serviceable.
