Vibe SE 2: Battery-colour light flashes 5 times and device stops working
The battery-level indicator light flashes 5 times and the device cuts out immediately when you try to fire it. This is the device reporting a no-load or high-resistance condition at the pod contacts.
Why this happens
- Poor or dirty contact between the pod base and the battery section contacts, preventing the device from reading the coil correctly
- High coil resistance detected, which triggers the built-in protection cut-off
- A faulty or damaged pod that the device cannot recognise
How to fix it
- Remove the pod from the battery section completely.
- Wipe the metal contacts on the base of the pod and the contacts inside the battery section with a dry cloth to remove any e-liquid residue or debris.
- Reseat the pod firmly until you feel and hear it click into place, then try firing again.
- If the 5-flash cut-off continues, try a replacement pod, as the original pod or its coil may be faulty.
