NeXLIM 2: Screen shows 'TEMP HIGH' or device feels hot
The screen displays 'TEMP HIGH' and the device stops firing or feels warm to the touch. This is a built-in safety protection triggered when the internal circuit board temperature gets too high.
Why this happens
- The PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) temperature has exceeded the safe operating threshold, triggering the TEMP HIGH protection cut-off
- Extended or back-to-back vaping sessions generating heat faster than the device can dissipate it
- Use in a warm environment or while the device has been left in direct sunlight or a hot pocket
How to fix it
- Stop vaping immediately and power the device off using the fire button
- Set it down somewhere cool and well-ventilated, away from direct sunlight or heat sources
- Wait 5 to 10 minutes for the internal temperature to drop before attempting to use it again
- Once cooled, power the device back on. The TEMP HIGH warning should be gone and the device should fire normally
- If the warning returns quickly after normal use, try spacing out your puffs to allow the device more time to cool between draws
- If TEMP HIGH appears repeatedly even after adequate cooling breaks, or the device feels unusually hot during light use, stop using it and contact OXVA support or your retailer
