DotPod Lite: Cuts off mid-draw after a long puff
The DotPod Lite stops producing vapour partway through a puff and the LED bar flashes 5 times. It then resets and works normally on the next draw.
Why this happens
- Overuse protection triggered: the device has a built-in 10-second cut-off. Any draw lasting longer than 10 seconds causes the LED bar to flash 5 times and the output to stop. This is the most common cause and is by design, not a fault.
How to fix it
- Release the draw when the LED bar flashes 5 times. This allows the device to reset itself, ready for the next puff.
- Keep each puff under 10 seconds. The overuse protection cut-off activates at the 10-second mark, so shorter, controlled draws will prevent it from triggering.
- If the device does not reset after releasing the draw, wait a few seconds before trying again. If it still fails to fire normally, check that the pod is seated firmly in the magnetic connection and that the device is not in an environment outside the 0°C to 40°C operating range.
- If the cut-off triggers constantly even on short draws, and you are confident your puffs are well under 10 seconds, stop use and contact your retailer, as there may be a fault with the device.
