DotPod Lite: Has battery but won't fire or produce vapour

The device shows a charge and powers on, but pressing the button or drawing on the pod produces nothing. No vapour, no airflow, no response from the coil.

Why this happens

  • Dirty or contaminated contacts: e-liquid on the metal pins or pod contacts blocks the electrical current, as vape juice acts as an insulator
  • Stuck or depressed spring-loaded pins in the battery housing, preventing a proper connection with the pod
  • Short circuit or overuse protection triggered: the device LED codes indicate built-in protections that cut firing when a fault is detected
  • Pod not seated correctly, breaking the magnetic connection between pod and battery

How to fix it

  1. Remove the pod and look into the battery housing. Check that both spring-loaded pins are upright and moving freely. If a pin looks stuck or compressed, gently nudge it back into position with fine-tipped tweezers, taking care not to force or bend it.
  2. Clean the metal contacts inside the battery housing and on the bottom of the pod using a cotton swab lightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol. Allow everything to air dry for at least 5 minutes before reassembling.
  3. Reseat the pod firmly. The magnetic connection should click it into place. A pod that is even slightly misaligned will break the circuit.
  4. Check the LED indicator. If the light pattern suggests a protection mode (such as a short circuit or overuse warning), remove the pod, wait 30 seconds, and reinsert it to reset the protection.
  5. Confirm the device is not in an environment below 0°C or above 40°C. Operating outside this range can prevent firing.
  6. If none of the above resolves the issue and the device shows no visible damage, contact the retailer or manufacturer for support. Do not attempt to disassemble the device or modify any internal components.
