XROS 5 Nano: Screen shows 'OVER TIME' and device stops working
The screen displays 'OVER TIME' and the device cuts out mid-vape. This is the 8-second overtime protection activating and stopping the device from firing.
Why this happens
- The fire button has been held down, or a draw has lasted longer than 8 seconds, triggering the built-in overtime cut-off
- The fire button is being pressed accidentally while the device is in a pocket or bag, causing it to fire unattended until the cut-off kicks in
- The device has been left powered on and something is pressing against the fire button
How to fix it
- Release the fire button or stop drawing as soon as the 'OVER TIME' message appears. The 8-second cut-off is a safety protection, so the device will resume normal operation once you start a fresh, shorter puff.
- Keep each draw under 8 seconds. Most inhales are well within this limit, so if you are regularly hitting the cut-off, try shorter, more frequent draws instead.
- Turn the device off when you are not actively using it. This prevents accidental firing in a pocket or bag from triggering the overtime protection repeatedly.
