Vinci E80: Screen shows 'Time Out' and device stops firing
The screen displays 'Time Out' and the device stops firing mid-use. This is a built-in safety cut-off, not a fault.
Why this happens
- The fire button has been held down continuously beyond the device's maximum allowed firing duration, triggering the Time Out protection
- Accidental firing caused by a bag or pocket pressing the fire button without you realising, especially if the device is not locked
How to fix it
- Release the fire button immediately if you have not already done so
- Set the device down and allow it to cool for a minute or two before firing again
- Once cooled, press the fire button as normal and the device should respond
- If accidental firing is the likely cause, lock the device before carrying it, to prevent the same thing happening again. The manual recommends turning off or locking the device when carrying it out
