Vinci E80: Screen shows 'Temp High'
The screen displays 'Temp High' and the device stops firing. This is a built-in safety cut-off triggered when the internal temperature goes outside the safe operating range.
Why this happens
- The device has been left in a hot environment, such as a car dashboard, a sunny windowsill or a warm pocket, pushing it above the 40°C operating limit
- Prolonged or chain-vaping sessions have raised the internal temperature faster than the device can dissipate heat
- The device has been stored or used somewhere that exceeds the rated 0°C to 40°C operating range
How to fix it
- Stop vaping immediately and do not attempt to fire the device while the warning is showing, as the cut-off is there to protect both you and the battery
- Move the device to a cool, shady spot indoors, away from direct sunlight, radiators or any heat source
- Leave it to cool at room temperature for at least five to ten minutes, the warning should clear on its own once the internal temperature drops back within the 0°C to 40°C operating range
- Check where you have been keeping the device. If it was in a car, a sunny bag pocket or anywhere that gets warm, make a habit of storing it somewhere cooler going forward
- If you have been chain-vaping, give the device a short break between sessions to let the internals cool down naturally
- Once the warning has cleared and the device feels cool to the touch, try firing again normally. If 'Temp High' returns straight away without any obvious heat source, contact the retailer for support.
