Vinci E80: Screen shows 'Check Battery'
The screen displays 'Check Battery' when you try to use the device. The device may not fire or may shut down shortly after the message appears.
Why this happens
- Battery is critically low or fully depleted, the most common trigger for this warning
- The charging cable or USB charger is faulty, preventing the battery from recovering
- The device has been stored for an extended period without being charged, causing deep discharge
How to fix it
- Connect the device to a charger using the Type-C cable supplied with the device. Plug into a UL-certified USB charger rated at 5V/2A and charge indoors only.
- Leave the device to charge for at least 2 hours without interruption. Do not attempt to fire it during this time.
- Once 2 hours have passed, press the power button to see if the device turns on normally and the 'Check Battery' message has cleared.
- If the message persists, test the same charger and cable with another device to confirm they are working correctly. If the charger or cable is faulty, replace it and repeat the 2-hour charge.
- If the device still shows 'Check Battery' after a confirmed working charger has been used for at least 2 hours, the battery may be damaged. Do not attempt to open or modify the device. Contact support or your retailer for a replacement.
