DotPod Max: Screen shows 'Resistance Too Low' and the device won't fire
The screen displays 'Resistance Too Low' and the device refuses to fire. This protection triggers when the detected coil resistance falls below the minimum threshold the device will accept.
Why this happens
- The fitted pod or coil has a resistance below 0.28Ω, which is outside the supported range
- The pod is not seated correctly, causing a poor or intermittent contact between the pod and the device
- The contact pins between the pod and the device are dirty or obstructed, giving a false low-resistance reading
How to fix it
- Remove the pod from the device and check the coil resistance printed on the pod or coil packaging. The device requires a resistance of 0.28Ω or above; if your coil is rated below this, it is not compatible and you will need to replace it with one that meets the minimum resistance.
- If the coil resistance is within the supported range, reseat the pod firmly. Remove it fully, then push it back in until it clicks into place, ensuring a solid connection.
- Inspect the contact points on both the base of the pod and the top of the device. If there is any e-liquid residue or debris, wipe the contacts gently with a dry cloth or cotton bud, then refit the pod and try again.
- If the error persists after trying a different compatible pod and cleaning the contacts, the device may have a fault. Stop use and contact customer support for further assistance.
