DotPod Max: Screen shows 'Check Atomizer' or the device won't fire
The screen displays 'Check Atomizer' when you try to fire, or the device simply refuses to fire. This means the device cannot detect the pod or its coil.
Why this happens
- The pod is not seated correctly in the device, breaking the connection between the pod contacts and the device contacts
- Dirt, e-liquid residue or debris on the pod contacts or device contacts is preventing a clean electrical connection
How to fix it
- Remove the pod completely, then firmly reseat it until you feel or hear it click into place. Try firing again.
- Check the metal contacts on the base of the pod and inside the device bay. If you can see any e-liquid residue or debris, wipe them clean with a dry cotton bud or lint-free cloth, then reseat the pod and try again.
- If the error persists after cleaning and reseating, try a different pod if you have one available, to rule out a faulty pod or coil.
- If none of the above resolves the issue, stop use and contact the retailer or DotMod support, as the connection pins inside the device may need inspection by a qualified technician. Do not attempt to disassemble the device.
