Argus P3: Low power, auto shut-off or battery warning
The device cuts out unexpectedly, shows a battery warning, or delivers noticeably less power than expected, even when the battery is not fully depleted.
Why this happens
- The fitted coil has a low resistance, drawing more current than the battery can reliably supply
- The battery is not rated for high-drain use, meaning its discharge current is below the recommended threshold
How to fix it
- Swap to a higher-resistance coil and take a few puffs to see whether the cut-outs and power warnings stop. A higher-resistance coil draws less current, which reduces the strain on the battery.
- If the problem continues with a higher-resistance coil, the battery may not be rated for high-drain use. VooPoo recommend a battery with a discharge current of 30A or higher. Check the battery specification and replace it with a high-rate cell that meets this rating.
