NeXLIM 2 Mini: Light flashes and shows short circuit
The red light flashes 3 times and the device stops firing. This indicates a short circuit has been detected and the built-in protection has cut power to keep you safe.
Why this happens
- Dirty or contaminated contact pins between the pod and the device, the most common trigger
- E-liquid residue or condensation on the cartridge base or electrode pins causing a false short
- A faulty or damaged cartridge creating a genuine short circuit
How to fix it
- Remove the pod from the device and use a clean, dry tissue to wipe the bottom contact of the cartridge and the electrode contact pins inside the pod port, removing any e-liquid, condensation or debris
- Reinsert the pod firmly and try firing again to see whether the red flash clears
- If the light still flashes 3 times, try a different cartridge to rule out a faulty pod as the source of the short
- If the fault persists with a new cartridge and clean contacts, stop using the device and contact OXVA support or the retailer, as the short may be internal and is not user-serviceable
