DotMod DotPod Lite 2: Understanding the battery level display and charging lights
Last checked
The display or charging light is showing something unexpected and you are not sure what the battery level reading means, or whether the device is charging correctly.
Why this happens
- The battery is low or fully depleted, which can cause a blinking or red indicator on the display
- The device has not been charged long enough after full discharge to show a stable reading
- The 1.1-inch colour display is showing a low battery warning that is being mistaken for a fault
How to fix it
- Check the 1.1-inch colour display for the battery status indicator. This screen shows essential device information including current battery level, so start here before assuming a fault.
- If the indicator is blinking or showing red, the battery is likely fully or nearly depleted. This is normal behaviour, not a device fault.
- Connect the device via USB-C and allow it to charge for at least 15 to 30 minutes before attempting to use it or judge the battery level. A deeply discharged battery may show no response at all for the first few minutes.
- After 15 to 30 minutes of charging, check the display again. The indicator should have stabilised and begun showing a rising charge level.
- If the display remains unresponsive or the indicator does not change after 30 minutes on charge, try a different USB-C cable and a different power source (a wall adapter rather than a laptop port) to rule out a charging connection issue.
- If the device still shows no sign of charging after swapping cable and power source, contact DotMod support or the retailer, as the battery or charging circuit may need professional assessment.
Other DotMod DotPod Lite 2 problems
- Draw feels tight or restricted Every draw feels harder than it should, as if you are pulling through a blocked straw. The airflow feels noticeably tighter than when the device was new.
- Pod is in but device isn't hitting The pod is seated in the device but nothing happens when you draw or fire. No vapour, no indicator light, no response at all.
