XROS Pro 2: Screen stays on charging interface and stops charging

The screen locks onto the charging animation and the device stops taking charge. This is a known over-charging protection response, not a fault with the hardware itself.

Why this happens

  • Over-charging: the device has detected an out-of-spec charging source and triggered its protection circuit, halting the charge
  • Incorrect charger: a charger delivering the wrong current or voltage can cause the device to stall on the charging screen
  • Non-original cable: using a third-party Type-C cable can result in an unstable connection that triggers the same response

How to fix it

  1. Disconnect the device from the charger immediately and allow it to rest for a few minutes
  2. Use only the Type-C cable supplied in the box, as third-party cables can deliver inconsistent power
  3. Connect to a standard USB charger rated at DC 5V/2A, which is the correct charging specification, and avoid fast-charge adapters, laptop USB ports or power banks that may output outside this range
  4. Reconnect the device and confirm the charging animation resumes normally with the battery level visible on screen
  5. Do not leave the device unattended while charging, and turn it off when not in use to reduce the risk of this happening again
