Argus G4: Fire button not responding or feels stuck
You press the fire button and nothing happens, or the button feels stiff and unresponsive. The device may otherwise appear powered on but simply will not fire.
Why this happens
- Device is locked, the most common reason a fire button stops responding on a pod kit
- Button not being pressed firmly enough to register
- A temporary firmware or power glitch causing the button to stop responding
How to fix it
- Check whether the device is locked. Most pod kits use a button sequence to lock and unlock the fire button, preventing accidental firing. Unlock the device first before assuming the button is faulty.
- Press the fire button more firmly. A light tap may not register, so apply deliberate, direct pressure to the centre of the button.
- Restart the device. Power it off completely, wait a few seconds, then power it back on and try the fire button again.
- If the button still does not respond after unlocking, pressing firmly and restarting, the button may be mechanically stuck or there may be an internal fault.
