Argus G4: Battery drains quickly or keeps turning off
The battery level drops faster than expected during normal use, or the device cuts out before the battery indicator reaches empty.
Why this happens
- High-drain coils drawing more current than the battery can comfortably sustain, leading to rapid voltage drop
- Using a low-resistance coil that demands discharge current the battery struggles to deliver consistently
- Battery age or condition reducing effective capacity over time
- Frequent, long draws increasing overall power consumption
How to fix it
- Switch to a coil with a higher resistance rating and test whether battery life improves. Lower-resistance coils draw significantly more current and will drain the battery faster.
- Check that the coil you are using is compatible with the device and within the recommended resistance range. If you are unsure, refer to the coil packaging or contact the retailer.
- If battery drain continues after fitting a higher-resistance coil, reduce your wattage setting if the device allows adjustment, as higher wattage increases current draw.
- Avoid leaving the device in direct sunlight or high-temperature environments, as heat can reduce effective battery performance.
