Vinci Spark 220: Device is locked or shows 'Power Lock' / 'Lock Switch'
The screen shows 'Power Lock', 'Lock Switch', or 'Power Lock (Temp)' and the device will not fire. The lock function has been activated, either deliberately or accidentally.
Why this happens
- The device lock function has been activated, preventing firing. This is the intended behaviour when the lock is engaged, whether by accident in a pocket or bag, or deliberately before carrying the device.
- The fire button may not have been pressed firmly enough to register an unlock attempt.
How to fix it
- Press the fire button firmly and fully. A soft or partial press may not register. Make sure you are pressing the correct button and applying enough pressure.
- If the device still shows a lock screen, restart it. Power the device off completely, then power it back on, and try pressing the buttons again.
- Once unlocked, the device should fire normally. If you are carrying it in a bag or pocket, use the lock function deliberately to prevent accidental firing in future.
