Caliburn G5 KOKO: Screen not turning on or staying blank

The screen appears completely blank or will not light up when you try to use the device. It may have been working fine before, or it may not have come on at all since you last used it.

Why this happens

  • The screen has auto-timed out after five seconds of inactivity, which is normal behaviour
  • The battery is too low to power the display
  • The device has not been woken from its idle state

How to fix it

  1. Wake the screen first: remove the cartridge and reinsert it. The manual confirms this wakes the UI interface. Alternatively, take a puff or plug in the charging cable.
  2. If the screen still does not come on, check the battery. Connect the device using a certified USB-C cable and a 5V/2A adapter. The display should show the current battery level with a flashing lightning icon once charging begins.
  3. If the screen comes on during charging but goes blank again after five seconds of inactivity, this is normal. The display turns off automatically after five seconds with no input.
  4. If the screen remains blank even while the charging cable is connected and you have tried a known-good 5V/2A adapter and certified USB-C cable, the device may have a hardware fault. Contact Uwell or your retailer for support.
