Vaporesso XROS vape kits and pods
The Vaporesso XROS is a series of refillable pod kits that all take the same magnetic XROS pods. We stock nine current kits, from the buttonless XROS Mini Retro to the 2000mAh XROS Pro 2, along with COREX 2.0 and 3.0 replacement pods.
What is the Vaporesso XROS?
A refillable pod kit where each 2ml pod has its own mesh coil built in. You fill the pod with your own e-liquid, click it onto the kit's magnetic seat, and fit a fresh pod when the flavour fades. The draw runs from a tight mouth to lung (MTL) pull to a looser restricted direct lung (RDL) one, depending on the airflow and the pod resistance.
The range is large and the model names blur together, but the choice is simpler than it looks: every current XROS pod fits every kit here, so you are choosing on battery, screen and whether you want a button.

The XROS 4 Mini, 5 Mini, 6 Mini and Mini Retro have no screen and nothing to set: fill a pod and draw. The 5 Nano also fires on the draw, with a touchscreen for switching power mode.
XROS pods
Replacement pods come in packs of four, in 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2ohm, across two coil generations: the flat mesh COREX 2.0 and the newer Hive Mesh COREX 3.0. Both fit every kit on this page, and older XROS kits too. UK pods hold 2ml, and the buying guide below covers which to pick.

1. Choose the kit
Start with whether you want to adjust anything. The buttonless kits set themselves, while the screen kits let you choose the power and show the battery and puff count.
If you want nothing to set:
- Take the XROS 6 Mini for the most battery of the buttonless four, at 1600mAh, with VENTURI airflow for a smoother draw.
- Take the XROS 5 Mini for 1500mAh and Smart Mode, which reads the pod you fit and sets the power to match.
- Take the XROS 4 Mini or Mini Retro if a 1000mAh battery is enough for your day. The 4 Mini ships with a 0.4ohm pod fitted and the Mini Retro with a 0.6ohm.
If you want a screen and control:
- Take the XROS 6 if you are not sure. It carries 1800mAh and 5 to 30W, with a 0.6 and a 0.8ohm COREX 3.0 pod in the box.
- Take the XROS Pro 2 for the longest time between charges. It fits 2000mAh into a 65g magnesium body and comes with a 0.4 and a 0.6ohm pod.
- Take the XROS 5 for 1500mAh and a Smart mode that sets the wattage from the pod when you would rather not choose it yourself.
- Take the XROS 5 Nano for the only touchscreen in the range, at 1.09 inches, on a kit that fires on the draw.
- Take the XROS 4 if 1000mAh is enough and you want a 0.96 inch screen, larger than on the XROS 5 or 6. It ships with COREX 2.0 pods.
2. Choose COREX 2.0 or 3.0
Both generations hold 2ml, come in packs of four and cover the same five resistances. The difference is the coil inside.

Take the 3.0 for the newer coil, or stay on 2.0 if you like the warmer flavour you are used to. Either fits every kit, so changing your mind costs one pack of pods.
3. Choose the resistance and e-liquid
The pod resistance sets the draw, and the draw sets the e-liquid, so pick the two together.
- 1.2 and 1.0ohm: the tightest, coolest mouth to lung draw and the longest pod life, suited to a 50/50 nic salt.
- 0.8ohm: still mouth to lung but a little airier, and happy with a nic salt or a 50/50 freebase.
- 0.6ohm: a looser draw on the edge of RDL, better with a 50/50 freebase or a lower strength salt.
- 0.4ohm: the most open, warmest draw, for a 50/50 or 70/30 on a kit that reaches 30W. It fits the Mini Retro, but at 18W it simply does not do much.
Keep to 70/30 or thinner. A high VG shortfill wicks too slowly through a 2ml pod coil and tastes burnt, even on a fresh pod.

- Pick a resistance: 0.8ohm and above for nic salts, 0.4 or 0.6ohm for a looser draw
- Check for a cable: the XROS 6 Mini and Mini Retro ship without one

Is the Vaporesso XROS worth buying?
Yes, for most people moving to a refillable pod kit. Every current XROS pod fits every XROS kit, and the pods come in five resistances. The range runs from a buttonless 1000mAh kit to the 2000mAh Pro 2 with a colour screen. The trade-off is that the coil is sealed into the pod, so a pack of pods is the running cost rather than a cheaper standalone coil.
Is the Vaporesso XROS 4 or 5 better?
The XROS 5, for most people. It carries 1500mAh against 1000mAh on the XROS 4 and ships with the newer COREX 3.0 pods. Both run 5 to 30W, have a colour screen and fire by button or on the draw. The XROS 4 keeps a slightly larger screen, at 0.96 inches against 0.88.
Do XROS pods fit every XROS kit?
Yes. COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 pods share the same magnetic seat, so any XROS pod fits any kit on this page. The one limit is power: the 0.4ohm pod needs more than the 18W the XROS Mini Retro puts out, so use 0.6ohm and above on that kit.
Do XROS pods fit the XROS 3?
Yes. Current COREX 2.0 and 3.0 pods fit the original XROS, XROS 2 and XROS 3 on the same magnetic seat. Those older kits top out at 16 to 18W, so choose 0.6ohm or above; the 0.4ohm pod fits but will not reach its full output. Our COREX 2.0 pods and COREX 3.0 pods both work.
Is the Vaporesso XROS 3 still available?
We do not stock the XROS 3 or XROS 3 Mini. Our range covers the XROS 4, 5 and 6 generations, the Pro 2 and the Mini Retro. If you want the simplest replacement, the 4 Mini, 5 Mini and 6 Mini fire on the draw with no button at all, and your existing XROS pods will fit any of them.
How long do Vaporesso XROS pods last?
About one to two weeks for most people, though flavour is a better guide than the calendar. When the taste turns flat or faintly burnt, the coil is done and it is time for a fresh pod. Sweet liquids wear a coil out faster, and the 1.0 and 1.2ohm pods tend to last longest.
Can you get 3ml XROS pods in the UK?
No. UK law caps refillable pods and tanks at 2ml, so XROS pods sold legally in the UK hold 2ml. The 3ml versions are made for markets outside the UK. A spare filled pod in your pocket covers the difference on a long day.
Do XROS kits come with a charging cable?
Not all of them. The XROS 6 Mini and XROS Mini Retro ship without a cable, so you will need your own USB-C lead; any standard USB-C cable works. The XROS 6 includes one in the box.
Is the Vaporesso XROS better than the OXVA Xlim?
Neither is better outright: they are rival pod families, and the pods do not cross over. XROS pods come in packs of four across five resistances, including a 1.0ohm, while Xlim pods come in packs of three across four. Both hold 2ml and top out at 30W on their main kits. How do I use a Vaporesso XROS?
Fill the pod, leave it about five minutes so the coil soaks through, then click it onto the magnetic seat and draw. The buttonless kits fire as soon as you inhale. Kits with a button usually power on with five quick clicks, then fire by button or on the draw.
