1. Check your kit takes bottled liquid
Start with the device, because PIXL sells two different things. The PIXL 8000 and the Duo 12 are prefilled pod kits: the pod arrives sealed with its liquid already in it, and you swap in a fresh pod rather than topping one up. A bottle of nic salt is not a refill for either.

10mg and 20mg are the two you will see on almost every flavour. 20mg is the UK legal maximum and gives the firmest throat hit, which is where most people coming off a prefilled kit land, because prefilled pods are 20mg as standard. 10mg is the sensible option if you vape steadily through the day and 20mg leaves you light-headed.

3. Choose a flavour
Two things worth knowing before you pick:
- Ice and menthol blends lend themselves to 20mg, because the cooling takes the edge off the nicotine.

Can you put PIXL nic salt in a PIXL 8000?
No. The PIXL 8000 takes prefilled pods that arrive sealed with their liquid already in them, so a bottle is not a refill for it. These 10ml bottles are for refillable pod kits, where you fill the pod yourself and replace the coil. The same applies to the PIXL Duo 12.
Which vape kits do PIXL nic salts work in?

Is 20mg PIXL nic salt too strong to start on?
Not if you are coming off a prefilled kit, because those run at 20mg as standard and your throat is already used to it. If you are coming from a lower strength, or you find yourself vaping almost constantly, 10mg is the more sensible start. Buying one bottle of each and seeing which you reach for costs very little.
Do PIXL nic salts work in a sub-ohm tank?
No, not well. A 50/50 blend is too thin for a sub-ohm coil and tends to leak and spit, and 10mg or 20mg through a high-power coil delivers far more nicotine than that setup is meant to. Sub-ohm tanks want a high-VG shortfill at 3mg or 6mg instead.
Do the PIXL nic salt flavours match the PIXL 8000 pod flavours?
Some do and some do not. The bottled range borrows names and flavour ideas from the pod line, Oasis being one of them, but the two lists are not identical: there are 35 bottles here against 40 pod flavours. Check the flavour you want is in the range above rather than assuming it carries across.
How long does a 10ml bottle of PIXL nic salt last?
Roughly five fills, because most refillable pods hold about 2ml. How many days that is comes down to how much you vape: a light vaper might get a fortnight out of a bottle, a heavy one three or four days.
Why has my PIXL flavour gone flat?
Usually your palate rather than the liquid. Vaping the same flavour for weeks dulls your sense of it, and switching to something from a different family for a few days normally resets it. If the taste has gone burnt rather than flat, the coil is the problem and not the flavour.
