How to choose your refillable vape pods
There's no single best refillable vape pod, only the right one for the kit sat on your desk. Work through it in this order and you won't get it wrong.
Start with your device
Pods are not interchangeable across brands. An Oxva Xlim pod will not fit a VooPoo Argus, and a Caliburn pod will not fit an XROS. Look at the name printed on your kit's box or on the coil sticker of your old pod, then buy the matching range: Xlim, NeXlim, Argus, Caliburn or XROS. If you're not sure which kit you've got, our pod kits range shows what each device looks like.
Pick your coil resistance
Within each platform, pods come in a few resistances. Lower ohm coils (like 0.4ohm) pull more vapour and suit a looser, airier draw. Higher ohm coils (like 1.0ohm or 1.2ohm) sip more gently and suit a tight, cigarette-like pull with nic salts. If you're vaping a high-strength nic salt, go higher resistance; if you're on a lower-strength e-liquid and want more vapour, go lower.
Capacity and pack size
Some pods hold more e-liquid than others, and pack sizes range from two to four pods. If you get through liquid quickly or refill on the go, an XL capacity pod means fewer top-ups. If you vape less often, a smaller pack size is plenty and you won't have spares sitting unused.
MTL, RDL or DTL
Most pods here suit an MTL or RDL draw, the standard tight-to-medium pull most pod kits are built around. If your kit supports MTL / DTL, like the Argus E40, you get a looser, more open pull for bigger clouds. Match this to how your device is set up rather than picking on looks alone.
In day-to-day use, we find a coil starts to taste flat before the plastic itself wears out, especially with sweeter or higher-VG liquids. Keep a spare pack of the right resistance in the drawer so a tired coil never catches you out. If you're setting up a device for the first time rather than restocking one you own, our refillable pod kits page is the better starting point, or browse pre-filled vape pods if you'd rather skip refilling altogether.
