The Ascent 200W teams a CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminium box mod with the Shift sub-tank. The result is a refillable sub-ohm setup that is ready as soon as you add your own batteries.

It runs on two external 18650 cells and delivers up to 200W through Vaperz Cloud's in-house VC chipset. The tank handles both restricted direct-to-lung and direct-to-lung vaping. It suits anyone who already enjoys sub-ohm vaping and wants a solid mod with room to grow.

What it does well

• Plenty of power: the mod delivers up to 200W from two 18650 batteries. The batteries are not included, so you choose your own cells.
• In-house chipset: the VC chipset drives a 0.96 inch LCD that shows your settings. The maker says the display can be customised.
• Solid build: the body is CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminium and measures 81.5mm x 31mm x 40mm.
• Room for other tanks: the mod fits atomizers up to 30mm across, so you are not limited to the tank in the kit.
• Two glass options: the Shift sub-tank comes with a straight glass and a bubble glass, so you can change the look of the tank.
• Seven colours: Blue Plasma, Gunmetal, Purple Plasma, Racing Green, Raw Silver, Full Black and Satin Pink. The tank trim follows the colour: stainless steel on Racing Green and Raw Silver, blue on Blue Plasma, purple on Purple Plasma and black on Full Black.

Pods, coils and e-liquid match

This kit uses a tank and coil system, not pods. The 26mm Shift sub-tank takes VC Tech replacement coils, and the kit includes two mesh coils: one 0.2ohm and one 0.15ohm. Both are sub-ohm. The kit is made for high-VG shortfill e-liquid, and the tank suits restricted direct-to-lung and direct-to-lung vaping.
